I felt the same, tho it wasn't really the on railsness about it that put me off it was just poorly optimised and the characters did nothing for me.

I love Heavenly Sword and to go from that to this was a disappointment.

Went a bit retro this weekend in between bouts of feeling rough with a fever:
Dynamite Headdy - Such a unique game and a wee bit crazy...so 100% my type of game.
Alien Soldier - Can still beat the first boss in one second. Mad skillz.
Gunstar Heroes - Never had this back when I was younger but playing it now shows I missed out. Does feel a lot like it should be played with 2 players and that going solo was lonely.

Can't believe someone on here called all three of those games "overrated pish"....

I have never played Alien Soldier, but I have very little love for Gunstar Heroes, and Dynamite Headdy IS pish

It takes a few games to figure out the strategy but it's great fun.

I'm sure I read someone was playing Project Zero 2 somewhere on this forum but can't recall where.

Anyway started it today and I'm having a bit of an issue. I can't figure out how the aiming works with the camera. I can't seem to get it to go up and down and whenever I flip out the camera it's always dragging to the top left... Also with Z held down the ghost is always at the right end of the reticule when I take the picture. I can't seem to figure out why it's always dragging left and up.

Deadly Premonition. Having binned my Jp 360 for a UK one I finally get to play this. Not very far in but I love the vibe straight away. The David Lynch influence is pitched just right, yet the game seems to have a magic all of it's own. And how amazing's that soundtrack!? Looking forward to getting deeper into this one.

Halo Anniversary. Picked this up cheap on amazon. Still a pleasure to play ... perhaps because it's from a time when the single-player campaign was the primary focus.

Oi. Only I get Skull ratings. You can have "Fades" or something. Get your own unit of measurement!

I enjoyed TP more than I thought I would, given the whole 5-heart-pieces debacle and other nonsensical bull****, but the ending really messed things up. You'll see.

I'd give it 3 and a half hats out of five.

I'm really into Dead Island at the moment.

I'm a bit torn though as I love co-op, but people keep jumping into my game and forcing the plot forward. I'm not ready for the city! I'm not ready for the jungle!

Great fun so far though. Really tense and some great atmospheric music and sound effects.

One night, I was playing with the lights off and headphones on. I was getting attacked from all sides and my heart was racing.
I hadn't noticed my wife had walked into the room and then I caught her in the corner of my eye and nearly soiled myself!

Please don't post a picture of her on here.

Ha ha ha! To clarify, she doesn't look like a zombie, I just didn't know she was there!

A longish splazz on Sonic Wings Special (PS1 vers. thru PS3), and a bit of Hydro Thunder Hurricane and Ms. Splosion Man, both discounted this week on XBLA (you may have to DL that "sales and specials" app to get the latter.) All goodies.

Also, Galcon Labs on PSN. Main reason because "Galcon Labs" is such a cool name, and it's only 79p at prez. F*ck knows how you play it, but it's got some cool retro graphics n' music.

One of the best races of this generation and will stand the test of time. It runs flawless at 60fps.
It's the ultimate box set that I have, tbh I never owned the original so I'm not sure what extras it actually gives these days aside from the "party mode"

Down to 88 75 events now but man is it a lot harder! If you crash in the last mile on a race you can pretty much forget about winning it and the marked man events are much more aggressive. Whereas before I could get like 15 on takedown mode when the target was 9, now I struggle to get the 12 asked for!

Still good fun but yeah, I just didn't expect the difficulty jump.
