Resident Evil Zero (GC) - Had an urge to play this for quite a while, last saved just before the mansion.
F355 Challenge (DC) - Played this much more than I expected to, best result was only a 4th place mind
GTA2 (DC) - Just a couple of kill-spree's really, trying to change radio stations (and failing) & get invincibility (and failing).
BF3: Armoured Kill (PS3)
F1 2012 Demo (PS3)
F1 2010 (PS3) - A regular, I play this atleast once a week online, got to love the smooth framerate.

Now on world 6 of DKC Returns and damn have some of these levels been hard!
Not enjoying the fact you need to know what is coming up in order to jump at the correct time etc, some levels require the use of 3 or 4 lives just to memorise what needs to be done where as otherwise by the time you realise you should have jumped, you are already dead.

Made a little more progress with Batman: Arkham City. Tracking down Mr Freeze atm which has taken me on a detour to the Penguins hideout. Having a lot more success with the combat since I last posted. The new enemies they've added like the knife wielder, are a nice challenge and I'm really starting to get the combos down like I did in Arkham Asylum.
Still feel they added a little too much this time round and so far anyway, I prefer the streamlined Arkham Asylum experience.

It's one of the few games I've played where I actually enjoyed the achievement side of things - I usually leave the achievements alone and just blitz through the main part of the game.

My enthusiasm for gaming seems to oscillate wildly, and at the moment I am very much in a gaming mood. Lots on the go in the last couple of weeks:
Rayman Origins (360)
Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)
Virtua Striker 2 v2000.1 (DC)
Bastion (iPad)
Gridrunner (iPad)
Got a nice selection of games waiting for when this lot is done, and with the excitement of the Wii-U on the horizon I am genuinely enjoying games again for the first time in ages. Good times

I've been getting into Armoured Kill on BF3. Annoying gunships by taking them out with the static gun placements. Looks really impressive when they go on fire. I also accidentally set myself on fire by firing at some rocks close to meThe Quad Bikes are really cool too - so fast. Love the new maps - lots of opportunities for flanking moves with lot of hillocks and buildings (rather than all open and flat)

I had a hankering for a WW2 FPS; I'd played XB360 CoD 2 only last year, really enjoyed most of it so I bought and started XB360 Call of Duty: World at War this week.
Not enjoying it half as much. I feel like I'm being dragged from one set piece to another, usually being hectored by the tedious drone of Keiffer Sutherland and regularly being killed by the stupid number of grenades the game, literally, throws at you.
But it's the rigid linearity, annoying allied AI, blatant trigger points and respawning that often suck out much of the fun. At times it is really little better than the generally reviled Medal of Honor Rising Sun. It's certainly not all bad though, when they open up the levels or realistically close them in, especially the building clearances in the Russian campaign, it's as good as CoD 2. You can and are actually allowed to go off-piste on your own sometimes, yay!Last edited by fallenangle; 17-09-2012, 17:38.
