Zelda: Skyward Sword. Awesome amazing beautiful. Even though the formula is getting a bit too...um...formulaic, working methodically through a Zelda dungeon is still one of the most pleasurable and joyful things offered in gaming. For me, anyway.

Dwarf Fortress (graphically challenged but so full of narrative)
Monster hunter Tri (just got past lagiacrus for the second playthrough, hopefully will get much further this time)
The Witcher (second playthrough, didn't finish it first time so felt i was missing something on starting witcher 2, also reading one of the books)

EDIT: oh and a valley without wind (addictive but seems a tad shallow so far, i'm hoping it has hidden depths)

Lollipop Chainsaw. Got both endings and all of the upgrades/combos, so I'll leave it for a while now before I go back to play for score. At first I wasn't a huge fan of the combat but it grew on me as Juliet became more versatile. She's probably overtaken Bayonetta as my favourite character from this gen.

Also played Digital: A Love Story. While the ending was signposted far in advance it still had a little bit of emotional impact. Going to get started on Analogue: A Hate Story soon.

Also: still playing DQIV on DS, but thinking about picking up Corpse Party to play in bed before getting stuck into Persona on my Vita. DQIV is dragging a bit with the multiple restarts but I hear that DQV has a great plot, so I'll tackle that too.

I've been addicted to Virtua Tennis 4 on Vita this week. Perfect pick up and play during my lunch breaks at work.

70+ hours on Lost Odyssey.. just clearing up side quests etc before the final battles. What a game. Superb.

The last couple of weeks have been all about Deus Ex: Human Revolution (X360). I played it intensely upon release last year but unfortunately got snowed under at work and it had to be put aside until I had time to lose myself in its world once again. Started afresh from my previous adventure and focused my augments on strength and power this time as opposed to stealth/hacking. Just reached

the central computer room at Tai Young Medical

and feeling that I am reaching the latter parts of the game - hope I am wrong! I place this game alongside the likes of Fallout 3 and Metroid Prime Trilogy in terms of the most coherent, immersive and 'living' virtual worlds that I have encountered in modern videogames.

Don't know what is wrong with me, but I keep starting up games and abandoning them. Not because I get bored of them, but because I end up buying new ones and this mentality takes over which dictates I start the new one just because it's new. I buy a new game and the old new game gets replaced - this is a process that repeats itself time and time again

                Currently playing through however:

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy on 3DS - My first rhythm game and it really shows as I'm struggling with anything higher than beginner. I know all the songs and most of them I love dearly, but I'm just no good at this, whether it's because my directions aren't registering or my characters are too low of a level, or just because my reflexes are a bit rubbish. Probably all 3! My current "game for bedtime"

Skyrim: Another 20 hours on this after Dawnguard's release on PC. Really quite enjoyed it and have cleared the vampire questline so time for me to retire it for another few months now I think while I wait for some new quest mods to arrive.

House of the Dead Overkill Director's Cut on PS3: A recent purchaser of the move kit, thought I'd buy this on the cheap as I was such a fan of the Wii version. Great fun to play through again with the official gun attachment, first new level was interesting to play through, hope there are more!

                Need to go back to:

Dues Ex: HR on PC - Bags of fun playing through this, got to what I am assuming is the end of the game

(Facility in the middle of Antarctica? overrun by insane metahumans or w/e they're called)

and just stopped. No idea why.

Castlevania Curse of Darkness PS2 - Started well and lost interest, again no idea why. Might call it a day on this one for now and restart later.

                Sudden urge to play:

Final Fantasy XII - As with Synthesthesia invested about 10 hours into this first time round, stopped and never went back to it. Theatrhythm is now compelling me to return.

That post reads like I wrote it - even the same games and attitude. Weird.
Cracking on with more Theatrhythm on the way home tonight

Rune Factory 4, Battlefield 3 and Macross: My Boyfriend is a Pilot 2012.

FFS don't buy the latter of the 3. Review incoming soon.

I've resumed playing Skyrim (PC) this week, finished off a load of side quests, Theives Guild, Dark Brotherhood and the main quest line. Will certainly pick up Dawnguard at some point and no doubt use that as an excuse to do some of the other little quests i have outstanding

Now playing The Witcher 2 (PC) - trying to finish off a few of the RPGs i have in my backlog so that i don't feel as guilty about buying Dragons Dogma

Made some progress with Duke Nukem Forever. Enjoying the monster truck section more than I thought I would (in fact, I'd say I'm enjoying more than I did the driving in Rage), but there certainly doesnt seem as much polish in these areas of the game - feels very cobbled together.

The bosses are ace though! proper old skool 50ft tall baddie with a gattling gun!

Just finished Dead Island and absolutely loved it. Shame I didn't get to co-op with anyone on here, but met some nice people online.

It actually works perfectly well as a single-player game and I found the atmosphere in the earlier sections really tense!

Will definitely consider buying the sequel.

I couldn't face doing the achievement of playing through the first chapter four times though! Felt it would be a chore and detract from the fun I'd had.

Now that's over, I tried playing NFS: Hot Pursuit, but the handling is rubbish and I gave up.

Instead, spurred on from seeing The Dark Knight Rises, I finally started Arkham Asylum, courtesy of my 2010 Secret Santa!

I love it so far! Thanks, SS!

Finished Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and absolutlely loved it. Going back through the KH threads, I was really surprised by the lack of interest in the games here. Although maybe I shouldn't be, given my own lack of interest - I had played the first and a bit of Chain of Memories and lost interest then until now. Somebody must be buying them though as not only do they keep on making them but the 3DS one got full level of polish and wasn't just chucked out like many handheld spinoffs are (TT, get your proper Lego games on handheld). With licenses, voice actors and so on, they can't be cheap to make.

So got out my GBA Micro and my old CoM to see if I get on with it any better now.

Also still playing Theatrhythm, which I adore. Total FF music fan service. It's brilliant for fans.

Finished The Witcher 2 (PC) on sunday, resumed playing Ys: The Oath In Felghana (PC) since then and have now decided that i really like the game - something just clicked the other night and now i can't seem to put it down. Just entering what i think is the final dungeon

I've also played a little bit more of Hard Reset (PC) and a credit or two of Akai Katana (360) most nights this week
