Finally had enough of XBox Timesplitters FP and was looking through my collection and decided to revisit the dozen or so OPM playable demo discs I've kept. Really good fun - Rollcage, Worms, MotoGP, Wipeout, TRLR, Tenchu 2 (the camera is even crappier than I remember) but the outstanding one I found was from Quake 2. Almost a full level and even with the mad control system reminding me what an extraordinarily good FPS it still is.
Also found some PSi2 (long gone magazine) cover discs containing some ancient games. In the past I knew they refused to load on my v.7 fat PS2 due to firmware(?) changes (they run fine on my v.3). But I thought I try them using a Swap-Magic CD and abracadabra they were up and running no problem.
Only have three discs containing six games and the sound just plays in mono but Painter (a Pac-Man a-like) and Invasion (a Space Invaders a-like) proved their timelesness still remaining very entertaining.
