Finally had enough of XBox Timesplitters FP and was looking through my collection and decided to revisit the dozen or so OPM playable demo discs I've kept. Really good fun - Rollcage, Worms, MotoGP, Wipeout, TRLR, Tenchu 2 (the camera is even crappier than I remember) but the outstanding one I found was from Quake 2. Almost a full level and even with the mad control system reminding me what an extraordinarily good FPS it still is.

Also found some PSi2 (long gone magazine) cover discs containing some ancient games. In the past I knew they refused to load on my v.7 fat PS2 due to firmware(?) changes (they run fine on my v.3). But I thought I try them using a Swap-Magic CD and abracadabra they were up and running no problem.

Only have three discs containing six games and the sound just plays in mono but Painter (a Pac-Man a-like) and Invasion (a Space Invaders a-like) proved their timelesness still remaining very entertaining.

Ha. Wicked! The score/soundtrack was amazing from that game - lifted straight from the film, if I remember correctly. Must play it further.

            Battlefield: Bad Company

            (Yes, I'm out of games)

A friend lent it to me about a month ago and after going out of my mind with boredom inbetween bouts of the wonderful Outrun 2 Online, I thought I'd finally check it out.

Its nothing special, but I've put a couple of hours in now so I'll probably finish it, dare I say some parts have actually been enjoyable. Seems silly how you can just heal yourself whenever you want though.

I home-brew enabled my Wii this week so in between GH:WT and Metallica, I've been having a blast on Starfox and Super Metroid

Mostly retro this week with the only games on the 360 being a spot of Street Fighter IV and Guitar Hero Metallica.

                Atari Jaguar:

Dragon (not half bad, but a bit dated)
Bubsy (different from the Megadrive and Snes versions. Hard as nails but some fine music)
Double Dragon 5 (even worse than the Snes version. Craptacular)

                3DO

Samurai Shodown (still impressed by this)
Primal Rage (another fine conversion. RAGE!)
PGA 96 (dated but you can't really go wrong with golf games)

Try Pebble Beach tour Golf, I used to play that all the time on 3do, it'll be hideously dated now, but the FMV parts and the caddy going 'NICE PARRRRR' will make up for it I promise, plus it'll only be about 3 quid. I'd definitely get it again if I got another 3DO.

                    I'm playing:

                    Bejewelled 2 (PSN)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (on Crushing difficulty)
Mirror's Edge (running and jumping through easy mode for fun)

I think I might get inFamous tomorrow after work as I fancy something new.

No kidding!!!!? A list like that would mean weeks, probably months of gaming for me even if I was barely getting into them and flitting around like a moth. If I was focusing on one game at time, as I usually do, that would be a year's worth at least.

Having finally completed Fallout 3 and having a rest for a bit before i try to do it with bad karma - i ventrued back to Final Fantasy 12 in preparation for FF13. I tried to play from my last save which i think was very close to the end of the game - but could remember how to play it so i decided to play it from scratch and try to plow through again. Ive found my love for the game again and spent most of Saturday and Sunday engrossed in it!

Still throwing in some random minutes into Castlevania Ecclesia to get ish done....... but kinda stuck as im not strong enough, doh!

I've made a start on Star Ocean: The Last Hope, currently on the third galaxy. I'm hoping this will kill time while I wait for a more interesting JRPG.
