Still playing PS2 Warship Gunner 2 - quite why this was never released here in PAL I can't think. It's technically better than the original Naval Ops: Warship Gunner (less slowdown), an almost RPG like and involving ship design and weapons development feature, has considerable longevity and many of the missions are set in UK and European waters.

Civ Revolution demo, superb.

Bourne Conspiracy for a few hours today. Just switched it off when I was horrified to find that

on entering a building I automatically entered hand-to-hand combat against a bad guy. All the while some turd was firing shots at me from the other side of the room, and I got thrashed through (what I felt was) no fault of my own.

Then the checkpoint proved to be a million miles back

(which us odd because the checkpoints are usually quite close).

Finished Metal Gear 4 on Wednesday. Since then been playing Smash Bros Brawl on Wii and Everybody's Golf World Tour on PS3 (still).

After playing MGS4 and while I wait to restart MGS1 in Replay, I went back to MGS Portable Ops. Bloody hell, the controls are pants in this game.

Obilivion and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Oblivion - Made some pretty poor choices with my character development leaving my character (a spellsword) with very little magika to play with and barely able to move with heavy armour on. I've played 20 hrs so far and just feel like I'm getting to grips with it all...so I've decided to restart. I'm going to stay away from the main quest for for the moment and do some proper old school adverturing.

Brawl - played a little of the Subspace thingy. Looks interesting and love the cutscenes. Still can't quite get to grips with the combat. Very chaotic.

The Bourne Conspiracy - Really not a great game but for it's short span I did enjoy it quite a lot. Few too many levels outside the realms of Identity but decent fun... never for a high ? thought

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - Still stand by my early view of great but not as good as MGS3 but for the online to hook me I reckon it needs consistant online updates

Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat - Still keep trying to quit... but ... just ... can't...

Battlefield: Bad Company - Not tried the singleplayer yet, online is fun but seriously starved so like MGS4 is gonna need quick support. Not sure it'll get it though... and I also weirdly prefer it when there's fewer players. So far when a full 24 player game, the Defenders always win.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Played the Subspace mostly which is surprisingly good for what it is and a couple of online matches which are pure chaos

Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX for the Gameboy Color. It's sublime.

Finished playing The Bourne Conspiracy yesterday, decent game but short and frustrating at times. Also played a lil bit of Battlefield Bad Company, single player is pants but online is quite fun. Mostly been playing Gears and Top Spin 3 online with some mates, huge amount of fun

Incredibly, I've only just started Shenmue 2 today. Finally moved house and got my set-up the way I want it (nice LCD with DC running through a VGA box) and settling down to absorb the greatness. Loved the first and have been hanging on until I had some time free before begining the second!
