What has everyone been playing this week?

Beat Mother 3 earlier, starting MGS4 today. Also playing through Phoenix Wright 3 when I go to bed :P

Finally got the last achievement in Mercs 2 last night so massively relieved i'll never have to play that again. Massively bug ridden but most of them entertaining and i did stick it out to the end so it can't be too bad.

Going to try bridging an Xbox connection tonight so i can enjoy ranked games of GTA with some mates, otherwise i have GRAW2 to get on with.

Yes, i'm miles behind in terms of games played, although i did get Saints Row 2 yesterday and hope to start that in co-op before the end of the weekend.

Too Human Some nice ideas but it is an extremely unbalanced and (for the most part) a poorly designed game.

Anyway, I have been playing Dead Space and Fable II with a spot of Gears and SOCOM Confrontation multiplayer action. Got Far Cry 2 and Midnight Club LA today so gotta get on cracking with those too!

Finished SR2 finally. 21hours 9 of which I did on Thursday night. Huge story game (as didnt do much else) but games very cheap on the last bits leading up to each boss on hardest level (dont bother as I found out you get no credit for doing it all on hardest level). Great game and loved every minute of it though. Crap graphics, loads of glitches, some freezes but enjoyed it more than GTAIV (and I bloody love that). For me with Too Human 2 of the most fun games of the year and suprise impulse buys after they got slated in alot of sites.

Finally got past the tutorials and onto the actual game in final fantasy tactics, and it is a rare treat for me. I've been more of a collector over the last few years and not got round to playing most stuff, especially in depth games such as this, but I am really enjoying it. The artwork, the music, the overall presentation is just outstanding and has a charm that keeps bringing me back to it. It has something of the style of SaGa Frontier 2 (but not the pain in the ass battles).

My brother gave up on this game before the end of the first chapter because of the difficulty, but so far I've only had to replay the last battle of chapter one more than twice. Only shortcoming I've noticed so far is the really dreadful voiceovers during the new cutscenes which are truly nauseating.

I had a more expensive October 24th than I'd hoped. Picked up Fable 2, Disaster, and Dead Space. Granted I saved a bit on trade-ins. But still, ouch.

Fable 2 and Dead Space I'm loving to bits. Pure gaming joy, Fable is shaping up to be a top 5 for me I reckon.

Disaster however, is absolute bobbins. Totally uninspired, bitty gameplay, and too much wiimote waggling. SOS on PS2 is a million miles better.

Yeah, I was really excited about Disaster too, but then I saw the trailers and realised it would be rubbish and waggling, so didn't purchase.

9 hours yesterday on BIA HH. Thank god thats finished what a tedious experience. Now I can start on the big 4 releases of this week starting with Far Cry 2.

Far Cry 2 all weekend for me, it's split the 'net in two a la Assassins Creed but so far for me it's GOTY. Yeah it has a few niggles but nothing has immersed me in its world like this for a long time, its how Oblivion should have been. A constant struggle for survival in an exotic foreign land. Even the multiplayer is solid, with the map editor or without.

A new candidate for my fave single player FPS of all time (and I HATED Farcry 1)

Too Human (360): Still enjoying it but havn't had a heap of time on it this week.

Fusion Frenzy 2 (360): Was hoping for some ace multiplayer thrills, but it's too annoying.

Splatterhouse (PC Engine): Proper Halloween gaming! You can stick your fancy survival horrors up your arse. B Gaming at it's finest!
