What has everyone been playing this week?

Just finished XBox Sphinx and The Cursed Mummy - a really excellent not so little adventure/platformer. Great looking too.I've now girded my loins to have a go at XBox Morrowmind (Game of The Year Edition) for the first time.

Going from Sphinx to the ridiculously uncertain character level fixed FPS combat is going to take some getting use to. Last night I shot at a guy point blank with a bow/iron arrows and still missed every time. Swapped to an axe (a supposed specialist ability weapon for my character) and got whipped twice by somebody using just fists. Only when I used some magic (sorry: Magicka) shielding
could I get to survive long enough for my one axe hit in ten finally to succeed.

Hope it gets better than this quickly.

Call of Duty: World at War

I completed my first-play through on Hardened about a week ago and now I'm moving onto Veteran mode to squeeze some replay value out of the game.

I've just finished chapter six and am now moving onto chapter seven, which is - judging by a fair amount of comments in the first-play thread - where it starts to supposedly go downhill due to the increased focus on combat rather than the free running.

I am loving the experience so far though!

Played some more Bangai-o Spirits (DS), a truly wonderful game that I doubt I will ever tire of. Baseball bat = best weapon eva!

Also put an hour into Paper Mario (N64) which is quite a relaxing experience. Got the first spirit thingy, hoping it opens up a bit more now as it has been quite linear and simple so far. Still pretty good though.

And finally I started Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS). Not sure what to make of it so far (only 1 hour in) but I'm going to persevere with it for a while.
