Dragon Age : Origins still. Still absolutely brilliant. Love having a party that can actually be made to do useful things in combat. It's a joy to watch your tactics you've set up come into play. Did the Redcliffe Assault last night. Cheesed it a bit by luring Darkspawn 2 and 3 at a time but that gave me a good opportunity to try out new tactics. It's not as pretty as Skyrim but the story is way better and I actually care about the people and towns.

Finished Bastion, and as many others have done I've gone straight into New Game +. Bloody brilliant, and mysteriously better the second time through, for reasons I'm yet to suss.
Started Alan Wake, and am now up to Episode 4's start. I quickly resented it for shoving me through the lovely moments of downtime too quickly, and for Wake becoming a gung-ho shooting man far too readily. Had to laugh at the games attempts to unnerve me with sinister whispers of "Aaaallaaaaaaaan". But I've sussed what it's going for and am starting to quite enjoy it. Wake himself though, is a massive tit.
Finally, been having a console sort-out and fired up the PSP as I had it pegged as first in line for selling. Among others, I booted up What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?! 2 for the first time and man, what a game. I'm a sucker for pixel art, but had the gameplay itself pegged as 'different but no fun'. The whole ecosystem/monster evolving thing is mysterious and flipping fascinating, it leaves a healthy amount for the player to figure out, and the game itself is so fun. Be keeping my PSP, then.Last edited by crocky-chocky; 17-01-2012, 18:28.

Mostly power smash 4 on the Vita. When not on that i've been having a blast with some old games on the PSP Go, ridge racers, power stone portable, darius burst and god of war have had some hefty play. Ridge racers in particular, despite being one of the oldest games on the system, is still fantastic.

Been in a major Sonic mood recently. Completed the main game for Sonic Generations on both the PC and the 3DS, now working on the extra stuff.
Also grabbed the excellent Sonic CD on Steam, as well as Sonic 4. I still reckon that Sonic 4 is an atrocious game, with broken gameplay and graphics that look like a mediocre Flash game. Decent level design and music mean it's not completely without redeeming qualities, but Sonic Generations just highlights how bad it was.
