What has everyone been playing this week?

Just completed Uncharted 2 on hard. Last time I played was back in Dec 09/Jan 10 so was nice to go back to, graphics really impressed me actually and the sound through my 7.0 was awesome. Can't decide whether I prefer it to number 1, although it seemed to have much less shoot outs, or at least none that lasted an age, so it wins on that angle anyway...

Crushing to do next, and then I'll mop up the rest of the trophies for the platinum

Finished Infamous 2 earlier today, it's just a bigger version of the first really, but I really enjoyed It all the same.

Just started Tales of Graces F, pretty typical "Tales of" fare so far, but it look great and fairly charming as well.

Been building my Wii collection a little bit lately. Spent most of today playing Boom Blox for the first time with my friend. What a fantastic game. Just simple fun. I'll definitely be on the look out for the sequel now. I also hope to have the opportunity to get it out at some point for some non-gaming friends. I think it will be a hit. One of the rare examples in the Wii's casual library that actually stands up as a great title in its own right.

Also had a very quick go on Wario Land Shake which is unsurprisingly delightful. Samba De Amiga was also a laugh, but I was annoyed that Mambo No 5 is locked to begin with. The controls are a pain in the dick too. I'd really like to have the Dreamcast version, but I think it's out of my price range.

I was going to post this in the 'Summer of Dreamcast' thread, but I think CTN post has ended that thread perfectly.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of Naka, I've had the pleasure of playing Le Mans 24 for the Dreamcast.

First thoughts: Woah!

Visually this has to be one of the best looking Dreamcast games I've ever seen. Lovely reflection mapping on the cars, sponsors clearly viewable, lush texture work on the tracks, I can't imagine how impressive this would have been at the time - it's the closest thing to GT 3 I've seen on the system. Gameplay wise, the handling is nice and loose and from what I've played of it so far it is quite challenging, but not unfairly so.

Will play some more and post thoughts - very tempted to do a 24 hour race!

Before moving a couple of weeks ago I was only playing a closed beta of a PC game, now the notebook isn't really able to run it at a decent framerate I reverted to Galactic Civilizations II and finished Portal 2 after not playing it for months. And as the PS3 is the only console I have brought with me right now, BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. Can't wait for when I get PC, consoles and games back...two weeks to go.

Played some more Ecco the Dolphin and holy **** is the learning curve steep! I can't believe how hard things suddenly get for a game that should be all about relaxing. Up to the part where I have to take on a Great White shark and he's killing me everytime - my attacks seem to do nothing. :/

Also played a little Le Mans 24 Hour. Finding it tough since I increased the difficulty from amateur - I can't even keep up with the pack. Did make me smile though to see a Newcastle United logo on one of the cars.

Bin exclusively playin NiGHTS Into Dreams HD this week, chasing all the achievements. Last wk I finally got round to playing Ninja Gaiden 3 (after I could pick it ip on amazon for 12 quid) that was seriously lame, way too easy and simplified.

I need to go back to that one and do it on hard & crushing, then I'll have platinums for all three. I just don't have the motivation as I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two.

Finished the 1st playthrough of Borderlands 2 on Tuesday, mainlay as my friend was rushing me through it to give him support on the TVHM! And on my commute I've been playing Mario 3D on the 3DS, just right for tube journeys.

You're the third person to mention this game in the last week (the other 2 being personal friends) now I REALLY need to dig it out again!! I'm at the volcano world but I'm now backtracking to get all the jiggies and inlockables

In other news currently playing through God of War Collection and loving it.. and have one more trophy in Nights (A ranks) and loving that too!

Yeah DKCR is underated. It's well hard but that adds to the charm.

One of the best looking games on the Wii too. Hope they do another on the Wii U.
