Most online stores will be doing it boxed for nearer ?30. I imagine it will be GAME and Gamestation who will have it nearer ?40/?45

Edit: Yep, Game has it online for ?40 so expect the usual ?5-?10 markup in-store.

Was ?34 when i checked on Thursday. Guess they are trying to cash in on people buying it at the last minute.

I spent the last 20 minutes trying to log on (which isn't a long amount of time for launch night) but now even the Blizzard forums are dead. The server status page for D3 says all the EU and US servers are down (though they just might not have been updated - though Asia's are up) - I'm going to bed It's a great game, it'll still be there tomorrow

I'd suggest that everyone avoids this like the plague. No one should even try it out.

The demo is sure to be what was the ultra-absorbing first 40 minutes of the game, which is absolutely fantastic and better than all of the remaining 96% of the game combined. This will make you purchase the full game with high hopes which will pretty much IMMEDIATELY be wiped out when you realise it takes a huge nose-dive.

diablo 3 for the pc i thought the actual core combat was pretty good but it had just so many issues its just one of those games that took ages to make but i really cannot see where the time went into as i was really expecting something more epic

however the lag was what had killed the game for me so that would have had me slightly tempted but really i need a lot more content

Cannot see how there would be much of a difference between the ps3 and ps4 versions though as the game for the pc never really taxed it

It just became cut and paste after the first portion of the game - which had decent variety and set pieces. There was no character to anything and none of the claustrophobic and dark feel of the earlier games, and the levels did look like they'd been made of randomly joined together tiles. Oh, it's ridiculously easy for the first two play throughs too. I ended up, through stubbornness more than anything, sinking 20+ hrs into it before things got hard, then they got real hard very quickly and became all about the sloooow grind for gear, which is painfully dull. Torchlight 2 is the better game.

I fail to see why this needs to be on ps4 at all, ps3 has more than enough grunt to run this with decent graphics, though im disappointed by all the negativity its been getting, i had high hopes for it.

Maybe if Blizzard did away with the always online single player aspect of the game it might be looked upon slightly better. Really though, Torchlight 2 was the better game and had far more replayability. To be expected though I guess, the pioneers of Diablo worked on it whereas now they just have a bunch of nobodies working at Blizzard.

I would hope some of these issues would've been sorted out with the updates and further changes to the console version. It's interesting that there making it a little more action/skill oriented with the dodge button for instance and maybe other changes too. There should be an offline mode so no problems with lag, also I assume there won't be any auction house to impact on the in game loot system.

Another major plus is having same screen offline co-op (a rarity in games nowadays). That's a great addition over the pc version. I really enjoyed playing Diablo 1 on PS1 2 players with friends, it was like a slower paced scrolling beat 'em up with rpg elements. It did have frame rate problems with 2 players though and that could also be an issue on the PS3 version of D3.
