Your grandkids will be very proud one day when you regail them of tales of your PS3 trophies.

If you enjoy a game, great. If you enjoy trophies, better still. But why they'd be a dealbreaker if the game is actually good is beyond me.

Look for many many people, Online play is a must in a new release title. For me, i am more a single player gamer. And trophy earning tests your skills out and rewards you adding longevity to a game. You see i LOVE Rock Band. Dont really game online much but prefer to play quickplay to better my score, and my stars. Now as with trophys, what the point? Its only stars. Who cares if theres 4, 5 or gold stars right? No its a testament to skill. And i find that challenging. As i said, im just a whore. Cant help it.

That's fair enough I guess. I just wonder if it's not a shame to miss out on a great experience because it lacks those extra post-game challenges. But I see the draw of the challenge in that sense.

I think my bias comes from the fact that the first 360 achievement I ever got was totally accidental and a particularly pointless one in Dead Rising. I imagine that doesn't represent the norm but it sort of stuck with me.

The challenge aspect is completely understandable but games can continue to offer challenges and test your skills without an on screen prompts proclaiming "You just got 50 headshots. You're AWESOME!!!"

That is why the statement that you refuse to buy any games without trophies seems odd. You may be missing out on potentially greater ways to test your skills purely.

Oh no, your right, some are very stupid. But for the most part, there pretty hard to get, like the whole complete CoD on Veteran and Beat Dead Space on the hardest difficulty will be crazy. The other thing is, when a multi platform game has acheivements, but no trophys, that really makes me angry because why? There always the same, so why not implement them on the PS3?

Maybe you are right, and its stupid of me to miss out on games because of this, but honestly, every game i want, other than SF has trophies, so im only missing out on one game. And if it gets patched i will buy it. But i already have the original one on Xbox live so do i need the same game with prettier graphics?. I did fall for the hype and bought Fallout 3, only because i heard trophies are coming down the line, but that game is complete **** so took it back. But LBP, Dead Space, Bioshock, R2, RB2, CoD:WaW and GTi Club all have trophies and there all i really want this year, so im set anyway. And from January all PS3 games will have them.

Just glad this game has them in because i cant wait for next week, it will kick ass!

EDIT: C, i understand, but honestly what games give you these sorts of things? There would not be many that actually say dont offer trophys, but track them in game, in there own style. Games like Sonic Adventure on the DC. I dont give a rats about trophies because, it has the emblem challenges. How many new games honetly do that? I remember in the Wind Waker there was this open world, full of islands and secrets to explore, but no way to track which ones you have been on, and i remember having to trot them down on a peice of paper. Now if they could of put that in a trophy somewhere, it would of made life a lot easier, or at least offered an i game system like Sonic Adventure.

If we didn't want that there'd have only been 1 Street Fighter II Even though SSF2TXHDR is just an expansion of the original SF2, to play the distance is quite vast. I suppose it depends on how much you want a new fighter game in general. This is quite a core crowd pleaser so maybe you'd be best just holding off till Feb and getting Street Fighter IV... the same but with more new stuff... and trophies

I'm sure Konami confirmed last month that it would be ?9.99. I might be wrong though.

Mega brill, I will be first in line for this badboi. I heart PSN.

The trial of the capcom pirate game is pretty fun too.

Yeah short demo but it is ace. Love the floaty, completely unrealistic handling and when you nail the alley shortcut at the end of the course perfectly, it feels great.

The music, announcer and everything has that mid-90s arcade vibe. Sumo have nailed this perfectly.

after all the big difficult racers recently nice to play a throwaway old arcade game, nice bright visuals, floaty handling and no real attempt to update anything other than the graphics.

                                when's it released ?
