I'm getting the PC version as the first game on the 360 was ****e, just like Dragon Age. They are completely different games on the PC due to the interface.

Both ME and Dragon Age (for me anyway) were always PC games ported to consoles. The console versions were like an after-thought for Bioware, and it shows as the interface on the console versions are awful and ultimately ruin otherwise good games.

Why was it "****e" on the 360?!

I agree about Dragon Age, the console versions are poor compared to the PC version but I don't think that is really the case with Mass Effect. It played perfectly well on the 360 despite some performance issues. It was far from "****e" on the 360.

It was ****e for the reasons i mention above i.e. poor interface controls on the console version. The console version is a mess. Anyone who has played both games knows that the PC version of ME is the definitive version.

        It's a no brainer.

Ok, they're not that great, but I'm just chuffed they're doing a Tali one cause she was my favourite character in the first game.
Looking at these earlier today and they look like the usual bottom end of the spectrum tat that gets shoved out. Then again at least they aren't trying to dress them up in promo pictures as being better than they are. I still have those tatty MGS4 ones here in a box - they were terrible quality in the cold light of day.

Thane and Grunt look good, but Shepard looks like a man who's doing a poo through a sieve.

Also, because this is THE Mass Effect THREAD and no one's bothered to bump this thread before now, may I just say

          22 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111!!!!!

As I said, I'm only buying the Tali one anyway. My 'gaming figure collection' only contains female characters for some reason.

              Yes, you may.

I cannot wait for this, though its a shame my most wanted game of the year is being released in January!

Just playing through ME for the first time on 360 and have to agree with Ezee.
Can't see what the problem is
I can't stand PC gaming any more so would probably have the opposite opinion anyway and how many people actually play on both PC and console?

That's because you obviously haven't played the PC version!

You can't stand PC gaming...Ok, we get it. As for your how many people actually play on both PC and console rant, well gamers like myself do.

I play on both too, and even own several games on both formats. I don't think it's that unusual!

Will be getting ME2 on the 360 though, I have a much better setup and didn't have any problems with the original.

I've just started PC version too. Got it in the Steam Sale.

Pretty nice and the inteface is very intuitive.

Really? Going from all your 'I wish this was on PC' and 'Why wasn't this developed for PC?' and 'A PC would run this so much better' posts on here so far, I assume you play on 360 with the aid of heavy-duty protective gloves and safety goggles.

Aaaand just to say something vaguely on topic, the Tali and Grunt figures aren't too bad, but Thane looks as if he's had several bones broken and the Shepard one is awful.

mate, as much as I agree with you about the superiority of pc gaming, mass effect pc is far from flawless. I posted on here not long ago about how horribly ugly that game can look at times, not because its an ugly game but because for some reason I'm stuck with low res textures on all the npcs clothing. It completely detracts from the otherwise lovely visuals. Just another example of a poor pc port I suppose. They're always a mixed bag though. take assassin's creed for example, the pc version looked great, ran at higher resolutions and had extra investigations when compared to the console versions. On the other hand, running it in 16:10 left you with black bars top and bottom, the menu was horribly cumbersome, clearly not designed for a pc and occasionally the game wouldn't boot, claiming i didn't have the correct disc in. [/RANT]

anyway, I suppose I should get around to preordering me2, on the pc of course

Also the performance on the pc version of Mass Effect is piss poor. The performance & fps of Dragon Age shames it and its a new game. Seeing as the PC ME2 is out on the same day, it should be superior. Really depends if they have shovelled it off to some third party to handle. Like Uh-hem the console versions of DA. We'll have to wait and see.
