Sounds almost perfect! So does it just have colour picross, or is there normal ones?

Yeah, there are plenty of normal ones as well.. 500 puzzles in total (+ 500 Sudoku ones) which you can go through as you like or attempt the challenge mode where they give you random puzzles to solve. I think there was a second game with Wi-Fi (not sure what exactly it's used for) and another 1000 different puzzles so it might be worth giving that one a go. Same name but says Wi-Fi対応 on the box.

Also, I just found the original website for the GBA game I mentioned and in fact it wasn't a regular picross game, but more like a cross with minesweeper. It also reminded me that it had a little Alien visitor storyline going on.. think there were short animated scenes in a similar vein to Guru Logic Champ.

There's a demo on the site (bottom link with red background):

If you check out the top link you can see how small they made the grid on the GBA screen.. they only show 10x10 tiles on screen (using just about 1/4 of the GBA screen) but I they went upto about 30x20.

Just managed to double check DS Puzzler for you and there are definitely no error warnings/penalties, and a good mix of monochrome/2 and 3-colour puzzles up to 20x20.

For touchscreen controls there is an option where you can choose to tap a tile to cycle through the fill options like you want (ie. fill > x > white) or just to have it always mark the tile with the colour/x/white that you have selected on the palette (or alternatively, there is another option to select the tiles you want to fill first and then choose the colour from the palette). You also don't need to hold a button for the vertical/horizontal lock as it is one of the very useful options available.. another is a counter which displays how many tiles you are filling while dragging the cursor. There's also undo/redo buttons which are useful incase you mark a tile in error or realise you've made a mistake earlier on.

I had another look at Picross DS too and the stylus control method is horrible in comparison, but it is not so bad if you use the buttons instead.

OK, so it's not quite a logic puzzler, but it is in the sense of "if I want to get that there, I have to move this here, but only if that doesn't stop me moving that over there".
This slice of sexual genius, everyone's favourite cross between Puzznic and platforming (it reminds me of Umihara Kawase due to the platforming element and the little girl) with simple levels interspersed with some real bastards. And the music. Oh the music.
          Anyone for cake?
          (I'm still stuck on 1-7)
