I`m still playing Gears almost as much as I did when it first come out, it is a truely wonderful gaming experience.

If I could jump in a stasis pod til November ala 2001: A Space Odyssey, but without HAL the psychopathic A.I, I would!

Read that this morning and it sounds teh awesome.

Particularly the bit about the derrick assault. I like how they're mixing it up with the characters too - another game solely with Delta would have felt too similar so it's nice to see there'll be plenty of new blood.

The Gears of War 2 beta test rumour has been gathering pace all evening.

Obviously it`s cobblers, but there are a lot of sites on the net now quoting a url for the signup site that ends ".tk".

Sites that end .tk are always dodgy and this one is no exception. If curiosity gets the better of you and you want to see what it`s all about, just don`t do it at work as it is deffinately NSFW!

If any of you have ever been "meatspinned", you`ll get the idea.

Unsurprisingly the scans for this are now doing the rounds.

There's not much to see in the article because it's mostly concept art but there's perhaps one, maybe two screenshots in there and they look great.

Agreed, a nice taster of whats to come... its looking good.

To me GoW is still one of those gems that still looks amazing put aside new games on either PS3/360 so if any of this new U3 tech enhances that great... I just hope its an enhancement to the gameplay as well as the graphics.

GoW was of course great but it was still an on-rails shooter with good cover mechanics. What I want to see now is wider control, 4 player co-op and for them to really, really nail multiplayer. If they can do even half that this is another system seller.

First ingame footage coming in a couple of weeks

Jonesing for your first taste of Gears of War 2 gameplay footage? Fortunately you don't have too long to wait.

Gametrailers TV just secured themselves the first in-game footage from the game. The bad news? It won't be airing until May 9 at 1 a.m. The good news? The footage, which features Marcus Fenix, includes a special introduction by bunny-loving Epic game designer Cliff Bleszinski.

The first-look footage is going to be availiable via Live at 7.00 tomorrow morning.
