Meh! Probably another 2 years now for a decent WW2 shooter again. This Modern stuff just isnt that great. I dont know, WW2 shooter to me are awesome. people say there sick of them, but there is so many storys that are untold. It need to be done. Darwin bombing, Pearl Harbour, Hiroshima. All these 3 combined would be amazing. Still Call Of Duty is awesome.

Ha! that name'll irritate those who pointlessly argue WAW isn't COD5

Still, hope the name changes, that's an incredibly clumsy title. To me it makes it feel regressive for the series, like its a follow up to that specific subtitle making it Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2

Might as well just give it a new subtitle.

Hehe it makes me chuckle that developers have a fear of numbers in game titles beyond 4.

Because at one point it was said that that Infinity Ward were going to do Call of Duty games with numbers (i.e. COD4, COD5, COD6 etc...) and that Treyarch were going to do inbetweeners.

That that would mean that COD4 should of been called COD3!

After the release of COD4 I mean... so in other words it was mentioned that WAW was one of the inbetweeners.

It's amusing as on some other forums it's been nearly a year of venomous arguing as to whether WAW is COD5 (it blatantly is )

I'm not quite as keen on the styling of the MW setting but gotta say, even if they just regurgitate the level design approach of COD4 it'll be a another cracker in the multiplayer

How odd. The story in the link talks of Call of Duty and Tony Hawk (amongst others) and shows a screenshot of what looks like Call of Duty but the soldier looks like he's riding a skateboard. Or is that deliberate and I'm missing the joke?

Someone has photoshopped the two together for the article? As soon as I saw it I was trying to find the Guitar hero reference

Some leaked detailed about this have emerged, thanks to a big mouth tester. Here they are:

I really enjoyed Call of Duty 4 (I even went through Veteran mode twice!) but I will be the first to fess-up that it has to be different and what I mean by that is not making the game come across as Modern Warfare 1.5 especially after Killzone 2, even if that didn't do anything drastically new.

I'm not worried about the multi-player in the sequel as Modern Warfare already has a great one to build upon.

                              Add co-op, it's a popular choice.
