modern warfare wii doesnt look too bad, the aiming looks a bit dodgy but that may be the guy who is playing. The turning looks dreadful but i imagine there will be a way to speed it up

I think I'm going to get to Sainsbury's early and take the gamble on this being £26. If not I'll just pick up my pre-order from Gamestation with my store credit.

I'm looking to write a news piece for my journalism degree on this price war thingamabob. If anyone fancies helping me out, and answers yes to either of these questions, let me know!

Has anybody cancelled a pre-order to get this cheap instead? Or is anyone thinking about buying it now that it's cheap, whereas they weren't before?

If I can get it for £26 I will buy it.

I wasn't going to previously but the price will go up by so much after day one and I doubt many people will sell this on for a reasonable price so it seems like too much of a good deal to miss.

I'm considering it if I can be bothered to get out of bed early enough to grab one.

Wasn't buying it before, couldn't justify the high price for a supposedly very short single player campaign, as I don't really play online FPSs, but at that price, it's tempting - bound to get more than I pay for it on trade in as well once I've finished after a week or so.

It won't make me buy any groceries from Sainsburys mind. Suppose it's all about market share though, so they probably don't care.

To give you a hand in your journalism degree i'll write this, even though I have one coming from Tesco Direct online, i'm still heading to my work (Morrisons) at 8am to pick one up.

                    We're that stupid!

Yep. I said right at the start I'd pick it up for £30, £35 tops, I wouldn't pay over the odds and I'd stand by my principles.

What may be worth a mention in your news piece, is what's the point of pre-ordering these massive, multiplatform titles when you know a supermarket war will start over them. It's only a few titles per year, but we all knew it would happen with this particular title.

For the first time in ages I've avoided reading anything vaguely related to a new game. So I know nothing at all about this one which makes a change for me as I usually can't avoid the usual sources of info before a new game comes out.

Will try the local supermarkets on the way in to work tomorrow I guess.

I think my pre order from GAME will be sent straight back and I will buy it from Sainsburys

                            Comment

You don't need to send it back. You can just return it to your local game aslong as you have the invoice.
