It's looking like its going to be a couple of classic maps from COD4 and a few new ones if that rumour holds true.

I dont mind to be honest as Crash and Overgrown from COD4 were excellent maps and would suit MW2 just as well. Does lend well to mapathy though as we should all know those maps like the back of our hands.

Hey KungFu whereabouts in Devon are you mate? My mrs over here in Australia is from Bideford...

There's talk of Activision wanting to charge 1,200 MS Points for this map pack. The CoD4 one wasn't worth it when it was reduced, let alone full price, mainly because every game I played it after I finally got the pack, at least one person in the lobby didn't have it so none of its maps were used.

The only problem I can see with those new maps from COD4 is

Overgrown - snipers are going to be overpowered
        Crash - a lightweight/marathon/shotties fest

I would have preferred totally new maps with no 'classic' maps

Well I wouldnt pay 1200 for all new maps, but for rehashes of old ones?

          No chance!!

Major Nelson had Infinity Ward's Robert bowling on his podcast wher he confirmed Mapathy will cost you 1200 to cure. Activision win again.

did they ask him why so much?
do you think this is IW's choice, or activisions?

as a huge mw2 fan, even im tempted not to get this pack, just think theyre taking the piss with the pricing...

I think they don't see 1200 as expensive for a game that made a billion dollars.
Would imagine it is a publisher decision, Activision can handle the blame. Not surprised at the1200 price point, remember the game had an inflated RRP thrown onto it from launch.

                  £10!? Thieving bastards!

They already charged more for the game at retail as Fry says so asking for a tenner for 3 new maps and 2 old ones is just cheek. I can see myself getting the maps eventually because I'm a sucker for COD but I'm not happy about it.

1200 points is awful, 5 maps or not.

One of my friends who LOVES MW said and I quote.
"That's not cool really but i'll pay it if I have to."
                      Have to
Serious question, would people take a stance against this? They charged 800 for 4 maps on MW, sure those 4 were all new. Doesn't seem right at 1200 bringing back 2 old maps.

I paid £26 for the game and I've got more than enough MS Points to pay for these maps and they didn't cost me anything and even though they were free, as they were gifts, I'm still not prepared to part with that many points for five maps, especially since most of us have already played the two old ones to death.

Battlefield 1943, a standalone online multiplayer Live Arcade game, cost 1,200 points, so there is no way five maps are worth the same. They're worth 800 at the most.

                          1200 points? Epic lols.

They really are the devil of this industry. Spin on it, I'll keep my money and carry on playing Bad Co 2 thanks!

I'm sorry but if people pay that then they deserve everything they get.

It's the natural progression of things. COD5 set out 3 maps and a Zombie arena for £8 so despite it being a rerelease of 2 old maps Activitision will see it as the equivalent of charging £2.20 for 1 map. To my mind I'd rather have 1 new map than 2 old ones as COD4 is hardly old or lacking in users anymore so the maps are far too current to carry any weight.

1200 points for some maps or 800 for a retro classic brought back to life? Perfect Dark all the way.

Some new maps for a cool game that lots of people enjoy playing online? The horror!

Yeah, its a bit steep, but hardly unprecedented. And if they didn't think they'd sell at that pricepoint they wouldn't have picked it.
