When I placed the pre-order for my TE stick about a month ago I was really in 2 minds. It was just after Christmas, my credit card bill was much higher than anticipated and I wasn't even sure if it would be really as good as they said.

After spending just 3 days using it full time now I'm so glad I put down the £120. It really is a fantastic (and I've gone through a few in my time) and I can tell it's allowing me to do things effortlessly that I would struggle on a pad. Multiple FADC in quick succession would be a real hand breaker.

This is the route I'm now going down (after being messed around with my TE order) ... looking forward to seeing pics.

I went with Gameseek who took full payment up front but informed me my order was for a launch model, numbers of wich were covered.

Then last week I started reading gameseek were shipping or had shipped and people were getting their TEs. Yet mine remained as 'pre-order' status in my account on the site.

So it appears they'd continued taking orders (and money) for these things way after the innitial allocation was reached.

Then I got a blanket email (to people who'd ordered) saying I'll get it when they do, nothing more specific than that. So I cancelled and am currently waiting for a refund.

The disappointing thing is while my money was tied up with them I could have bought one on two occasions last week. So disappointing.

My first and last time dealing with gameseek

I modded my stick earlier and i seem to have put one of the cables in the wrong order. Doh! Going to have to open it up again and sort it out later. I even labelled them all so i won't get them mixed up in the first place. LoL.

I moved all the buttons around as the HRAP EX has a terrible button layout. So i changed it for upper tier to

            X, Y, LB, LT
            A, B, RB, RT

            Before it was

            B, X, Y, LB
            A, LT, RT, RB

Will post pics, when i'm done.

Looking to order some buttons & balltops. Anyone used arcadeshop.de before & if so would you use them again?

One other thing...do I have the option of using Seimitsu buttons on a TE or just Sanwa? Any benefit of using one over the other in terms of quality or comfort?

Thanks and sorry for so many q's

Can anyone recommend a decent soldering tool for a beginner and also a dremel (?)? Not too sure what a dremel is, but I think it could be a swapable head multi-tool bonanza thing. I need that to make button holes on my stick plate a tad wider to fit in Sanwa buttons.
You can pick up a Dremel in Homebase or B&Q for about 30 quid, then the attachments. They are great things, but pricey. You may get away with chuck attachments (for regular drills) depending on what you need to do.

Get to Maplins for a gas soldering iron, this a great little kit -

Never used arcadeshop, but I can recommend both http://www.lizardlick.com/ and http://akihabarashop.jp/

You can use Seimitsu buttons, yes. The difference is mostly down to preference, really. Sanwa are supposed to be a bit lighter (you can trigger them by just brushing them, near enough). More info than you're likely to need here.

I think that's like the 360 cousin of the FS3 on the PS3. Cool, you should inspire me to tuck into my project
