Seems like Infamous will hold a Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta Voucher inside, if a current picture is to be believed from kotaku.

Just remembered that there was an interview last year with Ted Price of Insomniac which seems a fairly common thing in Sony. I'm hoping that Sony will be looking to get some of Guerrilla's multi-player experience into Uncharted.

Actually, we’re close to those guys. Our engine director was just over at Guerilla taking a tour. And we’ve had them in our offices. There’s definitely a friendship between the two studios. And we are both interested in making sure there’s a separation between the games in terms of theme and gameplay. Where they’re both released in relation to each other, I don’t know. That’s up to Sony marketing. What’s cool is that we both feel that same competitive spirit. We’re pushing each other, and that’s fine. It’s a good-natured competitiveness.

Uncharted 2 beta...meaning there will be multiplayer in it? For God sake was that really necessary? Why must every single player game have a multiplayer component forced into it.

If true though, I'm sure it'll sell a few more copies, though I've heard the game is pretty wonderful anyway (both Uncharted 2 and inFamous).

Indeed. Uncharted 1 benefitted greatly from having a focused single player, with no multiplayer to distract the dev team. I hope it doesn't this time either.

Multiplayer seems redundant for Uncharted. Co-op is welcome in pretty much any game. But I'm guessing as this is billed as Multiplayer instead of Co-op, that you're looking at shooting a group of other people

Trying to remain optimistic, the original was great, so I'll give the devs the benefit of the doubt. Glad to see I'm not the only person, however, who still enjoys well focused single player games - even though I don't play them often these days.

I can see why they added; more than just a bulletin point for the box, there is a growing number of people who want to do nothing more than kill each other online. If this attracts extra players who'd otherwise dismiss it, then great - they'll give the singleplayer a quick try, and realise it's amazing

I'm hoping the sequel isn't all action. I admired the platform elements of the first, and the sense of adventure. TBH you could have taken out the shooting, as competent as it was, and I think I'd have enjoyed the game just as much. Possibly more actually....

If it's just deathmatch and no thought is put into making a multiplayer experience out of what makes Uncharted what it is, that would be not only a missed opportunity, but a massive let down.
