Just had an email telling me that I can pre-order this now for £42! I hadn't been following this, but CoD tax again? How many of Activisons other games this year have had a £54.99 RRP? It's a disgrace that they're doing it, and that they'll get away with it again.

That's me out then, hopefully MoH will be decent. Might also pick up the new edition of BFBC2.

I'm really looking forward to this now. Out of the last three COD games World at War was by far my favorite so I'm hoping this doesn't let me down.

No way I'm paying over ?30 though, so unless there are some day one dealeos I'll wait.

The new killstreak list is out too. Only goes up to 11 kills and Nukes are thankfully out. However, the attack dogs are back. They better have been heavily rebalanced or I'm going to be massively narked.

Will these developers ever learn or are they just at the same brain cell level as the cheating, boosting 10 year old idiots that play MW2?

Hopefully other modes will make it more playable, this is a renter for me.

Quite like the look of this so far.

Only problems I can see from the limited information so far are, tactical insertions coming back which is just stupid imo, yes they can be put to good use in objective games but on the whole all they are good for is campers and boosters, main problem for me being boosters. Yes there was "booster lobbys " in older cod games but that was away from others. In MW2 tactical insertions brought boosting to a whole new level. Should have just been dropped altogether imo

Also I really dont like the look of the RC car, yes there is a high chance you will die when using it but its going to be so annoying if your the one that gets targeted, just hope you can easily hear it coming and its easy to destroy. Also being a 3 kill streak its going to mean no one using UAV again, wish they had left the third killstreak UAV and maybe made RC car 5 like a pred missile.

Apart from this looks pretty solid, seems like you dont die as quick as in MW2 and there is some recoil on weps so not quite as noob friendly as MW2 thumbs up so far

Just saw the advert for this during the footy half time. Looks very cool. I know that the trailer will be edited to show "all action" but it looks very polished and could contain some "wow" moments.

It's just a shame that the atmosphere and "grit" the advert builds up is destroyed by the slightly northern man trying to sound hard saying "pre-order now on Xbox 360". Typical Microsoft trying to make people forget there are other formats aside from theirs!

Still, roll on 9th November.

Yeah I'm not sure I like tactical insertion or akimbo coming back but it's not worth judging until we see how they're implemented. I'm more hoping sniper rifles are revised so they can't be quick scoped so easily like in MW2. Sure it's a skill I respect but it ain't sniping...

One thing that is good is Treyarch have said the theatre mode was born out of the need for a testing tool to track elusive bugs. They've stated it will be used to monitor suspected cheats with new full time employees looking at footage to determine possible bugs, glitches etc...

They've also mentioned that most of the glitching and hacking in MW2 was due to some code used for balancing being to high level and over-exposed. They've apparently locked this stuff deeper in Black Ops to make it a less simple task.

All good to hear IMO.

Can't believe this is advertised already. iv'e had a bellyfull of call of duty and i think they're trying to remind us that there is another game that isn't halo this autumn/winter.
I am not getting this, just another carnival shooting gallery like MW2 IMO.

Tesco have started pre-order print ads in national papers today, advertising the price as ?42.70

Not really taken much interest in this as MW2 killed it for me. However I took time to watch a video of the MP on the Xbox dash, and to my eyes it looks identical to the previous game! Don't Treyarch bother to at least do their own presentation!!???

Anyone know what's in the 'Hardened' edition. It's on play.com for pre-order but no details as to what it contains.
