Im buying Kinect for the mrs... I see Dance Central and that Fitness game being her "thing" and it will justify the purchase for me on that alone. She loves doing yoga and pilates so with the room we have in our lounge its a no-brainer.

For me I will grab Kinect sports and wait patiently for stuff like Child of Eden to come out. I am sure the more substantial titles will come in mid-2011.

Now I just have to work out a way to surprise her with it as her "early xmas present"

Hopefully none seeing as you aren't allowed to sell promos.

£130 for Dance Central and Kinect is an expensive game imho.

Everyone is looking forward to Dance Central, but what else?

Joyride is really good fun. The level of control you have is really great. I was powersliding like a demon after about 30 seconds!!

Kinectimals is just too damn cute. If you've got kids (or, like me, a Wife who loves cute) it's a must buy!!

What age range is Kinectimals aimed at? Would a 3yr old get much out of it?

                At this moment, Gawd knows.

That's one of the things about the Kinect launch software, not that much has been shown. Dance Central is a fairly easy sell. Sports and Adventure could be great, but we need to know more about the different events and how they work.

                  I'd say so.

The animal, at the most basic level, is a mirror of what you do so if you stretch up and stand on one leg the animal copies you. If you fall to the floor on your back and put your limbs up in the air then the animal plays dead too after pulling a comedy face with it's tongue hanging out!

The agility courses might prove more of a challenge but I can see it helping to improve co-ordination in younger kids as you have to run on the spot and then balance across walkways and jump through hoops and stuff.

The best bit though is, when you hide, the animal comes up to the screen to look for you. At one point he was really close to the screen and his breath fogged it up. When I reappeared he licked the screen and cleared the fog with his tongue!!

I think kids will absolutely adore it.

                  This is brilliant:

The animals I saw were tiger, leopard, polar bear, black bear and, I think, a wolf.

That sounds spot on then... this could be an awesome way of my 360 being allowed on when the lad's not in bed... I need to preorder this as well by the sounds of it

At the moment I can't prise my iPad off him as he loves all those apps where there's some character and it repeats back what you say... Kinectimals sounds like that, but on steroids!

                    Cheers for that

Is there any word on whether you can sit down with kinect yet?

Just with playing move recently I`ve suddenly realized how much remaining stood up in one postion makes your back ache.

Yeah. We had the new dash demoed with Kinect sitting down. The voice recognition was teh amaze as well!

It automatically tracks you too. The camera is motorised and followed the guy as he moved around.

Playing this at Eurogamer Expo really will be make or break for me. My experience with it so far has been less than positive.

That's how I read this. I've clearly spent more time on the Internet than is good for me.

While I'm still not sold on Nata... *slaps head like Rainman*... Kinect, positive impressions will have me taking more of an interest more than any marketing flannel from MS.

And if that convinces me then all they'll do is have to release a game that uses it which I want to play
