It is good to see positive feedback. Though I'm waiting for some Cold Light Of Day feedback away from fanfare charged events, when people have had it at home a week and the "look Ma no hands!" novelty has subsided.

Certainly my kid would enjoy it, but it's still not worth anywhere near £130 to me. I'm still not seeing value for that, or games I want to play. I just can't get over that price

Sadly, my i fear is that my little one will not enjoy this. From what i have experienced with the device the games have been less then streamlined, overly cumbersome and really not natural at all. It just feels... wrong.

Moving my hands and arms around with no feedback, no weight, nothing at all to signify my actions does not relate well to an interactive experience. Games that simply require creating ripples in the air or dance movements will work okay, but anything else is going to struggle. Will a child enjoy Kinect? Not if it remains so fiddly and so unnatural, not in my opinion. I can't wait to be proved wrong though

Children aren't stupid, they like tactile feedback too.

My kids love Move, I'm not so sure they will love Kinect.

Pre-order is strongly in the balance at the mo for me.

          Thanks for the feedback Adam.

Looking forward to when demo pods appear.

So do I Matt, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on multiple titles. Child of Eden is what I'm personally very interested in... that does look to be a wonderful idea very well implemented :-)

I'm reading this thread with interest and there seems to be a large range of opinions.

I am hoping the Mre and kids will enjoy it but I brought the 'bargin' Move starter pack and my 5 year old wasn't impressed with Eyepet the showering with the controller as the shower head worked Okish but the rubbing to make bubbles and wiggling your fingers was disastrous. I was very disapointed too with the low res camera it looked like a VGA res webcam, no different to the PS2 Eye.

I'm worried that Kinect will be the same, and also wanted Kinectimals for the kids but if its hand-creature recognition is as poor as Eyepet Move, I doubt SWBMO will give it the green light.

Anyone with Move also played Kinect?

still think it should be called K'nell cos of the price.

Yes. So far, I much prefer move.

I'm hugely impressed with the tech of Move, but not played Kinect. What strikes me with Move is the accuracy. I've been reading Kinect has trouble resolving hand movements for button presses! Right now, to me, it's look far, far short of the original showing where it would be resolving finger movements.

They're aiming for getting the "you are the controller" message across:

I like what they've done with the kinectanimals where you can buy a plush toy in the shops and wave its special barcode infront of the camera and that animal appears in the game

There's about 3 seconds of gameplay footage in those adverts, if people are sold by that kind of advert then they don't deserve to have money anyway.

Wow that is a shockingly low amount of ingame footage - virtually 0 in the kinectimals ad.

I suspect that actually does work with casuals in the same way as seeing good graphics was not important in selling the wii to the masses. Im no marketing genius though.

Please MS just show some more interesting games to go with Child of Eden.

The videos have already been removed from YouTube.

Those vids are awful. Beyond words.
