It's my daughters 10th birthday on Saturday, she has some homies coming round for a Dance Central parte. I have 80 or so inches between the tv and a ****ing heavy oak table that I would rather not move will this be enough space?

Possibly not, that's just over 6ft - I suspect you'd be banging into the table. It certainly won't be enough room for multiplayer.

After a dissapointing start decided to play a game. Dance central is actually really fun....

I'm 7 feet away from the sensor and it can see me all, it is struggling a little with my legs still, I think be ause there is something directly behind me

Edit, it seems to of got the knack of me after several goes, suggests I revalibrate in different light for more accuracy

I've been battling with this stuff for over two months and it's been grating me I've not been able to say anything about it due to NDAs - that initial wow really starts to wear off after a while.

Actually, the biggest irritating thing was the sycophantic beta forums. You know what the biggest underlying discussion was, aside from the MS worship? Do we get to keep them after the beta test and what games are we getting :/

The games themselves seem to work fine, but all the calibration tools were like like the e3 demo where it freaked out.

The responsiveness has really impressed me so far, not played anything yet that feels laggy.

i have to admit im quite pleasantly surprised how responsive it is too. much more so than it had been portrayed to be.

the evening ive spent playing it has been more enjoyable than the first evening i spent playing with Move. I never thought I would be saying that...

Kinect

Wall mount up and it is much much better now at 6 feet high on the wall. Played Dance Evolution for an hour and it's so much fun. Easily responsive and I love the DDR/Beatmania songs that ended up in there.

The moves are a lot of fun too. Like in one song the word "samurai" is sang and you have to do a samurai slash in the dance.

JoyRide is pathetic. It's got too much sensitivity and it confuses your left and right hands and spins you around. It's totally broken and I can't stand it.

played a lot of kinect sports this eve and the boxing on kinect sports really impresses me, it knows what hits your trying to achieve (unlike wii sports/wii sports resort and wii motion +) , the upercuts you can do are brutal and i love the way you can do a really heavy hit by pulling your arm right back.

my son whos 3 loved the river dingy game on adventures i think the main bit he liked was jumping all over the place like a loon lol.
