Next purchase will be Child of eden but after Sports, Adventures, dance cental and kinectimals not sure any of the other launch games are worth while?

will be perfect for chistmas fun replacing wii bowling this year.

TBH I find both those figures unbelievably high. Is it one of those "shipped" stats rather than actual sales? Surprised Move has shifted that many, though most PS3 owners I know IRL picked one up (including myself) and I don't know anyone who bought a Kinect.

I tried Kinect in Game last week. Was very impressed. Just done the bowling game so the lag didn't have any impact, but it worked nicely and looks to be fun to piss about on. Real shame about that price, would pick it up if was around the £50 mark. With a game, of course

The Kinect article on IGN says that is "sold" rather than "shipped" so presumably not artificially inflated.

I'm exactly the same on the Kinect Matt - tried one in Tesco and was really impressed but I just can't justify £120. As you say - £50 with a game and it would already be under the Xmas tree! Price will drop in time of course so maybe I'll pick one up in 12/18 months or so or when the software line-up is meatier and the price has (hopefully!) dropped.

I saw one in CEX today for £150 - just the hardware, no game. They're a joke of a "shop" that place. Guess they believe the "shortage" claims. I've been surprised at how many shops have them readily available.

Think £50 may be a while off, with sales that high they'll be be pressing need to drop the price
