I was actually playing Resistance Retribution online last night. It was excellent fun and appeared to be lag free and stable. There were - according to the stats they gave me - only 233 people on the entire planet playing it though.

Don't you thnk that paying that much extra for it on the GO makes you part of the problem with the industry?

I'm not condemning people, it's all about choice, but I have to say I'm in the group that finds it baffling people actually make that choice.

Anyway, on-topic...has anyone said Wipeout or Castlevania yet?
      You're missing the convenience factor.

There I am sitting on the toilet, browsing through the store and I can purchase a good game at a reasonable price before my turd has hit the bottom of the bowl.

As for a problem with the industry I don't quite follow you. All companies and industries the world over are driven by greed; why should the games industry be anything different. Don't get me wrong, i'd still prefer paying next to nothing for my games, but the point is, I don't feel that any of the games I've bought so far have been a waste of money.

Oh except for Break Quest, what a piece of crap and it cost ?2.49.

Yes there are problems, but this is early days, if Sony slashes the price to ?150 before Christmas (which I reckon they will) and offers a good will service to early adopters, this will be far more disirable.

Yeah I've been playing the single play and was actually impressed with how 'Epic' it all feels.

yeah, it's a good game. The voice acting is shockingly bad however. Also, I'm unimpressed that the PS3/PSP Resistance link up stuff does not work. I need a customer service email address for Sony and or Insomniac to tell them about it. I fancied the idea of playing this with the DS3 and also the infected mode bonus material.

            all great.
Is Jean de Arc available on the UK store? Tried to pick it up recently but couldn't find any US retailers with it in stock who were prepared to ship to the UK.

hmmm. probably not then. a masive shame because out of the 30 od games I own, jean de arc is one of my favourites. It's an absolute travesty that it never came out in europe.

Jeanne d'Arc is US$23 from the US PSN store. Works out at about £15, which is not too bad.

...and you've absolutely no other games that you can play instead? Moreover, what good is purchasing it whilst cable laying, if its a gig in size and will take nearer an hour to download? Not particularly convenient.

Speaking of convenience, is it particularly inconvenient to wander over to shopto, order it at £6.50 and have it the next morning? I wonder, are gamers that impatient...really?

As for a problem with the industry I don't quite follow you. All companies and industries the world over are driven by greed; why should the games industry be anything different.
Industry being driven by greed is indeed nothing new, but this is a whole new ball park. You are buying an inferior product for more money. There is no overhead of a case, a disc, a manual here, it's just a digital product. It's not even a case of "a little bit more expensive" either, in some cases it's twice the bloody price!

To me, this is up there with Activision's current business, where they are saying "We'll up the price because we think the idiots out there will still pay it" and, like Activision, Sony are being proven right.

Seems to me like people who've bought into the PSP GO are trying to justify their purchase by buying digital only games (there's no other choice for GO users) at an inflated price. What are these new GO users going to do? Play nothing at all? What choice do they have? I mean, why is this thread called "Top Ten Must Have PSP GO games"? It's the same system, but owners of it are trying to distinguish it's games apart from the PSP!

For me, this is the equivalent of taking it up the rear, dry, with absolutely no lube and, quite frankly I can't believe that people are so happy to do it!

You are getting yourself in a tizzy.

It's not an inferior product, it's the SAME product. It just isn't in a case that you can put on your shelf or sell afterwards. Say it's expensive, but to say its inferior is nuts. I just want to play the game.

Of course there's an element of justifying our purchase, you'd do that with anything you have.

It's called a PSP Go thread, because some games are expensive and some take up a lot of space. This way you can decide what's perceived as decent value for money and choose what you want. Obviously you can download these games on the PSP, but the Go has much space, so will be of more use to fellow Go owners.

Look it's obvious that you don't like the machine. So why not spout about it elsewhere and leave the people who genuinely are happy about the purchase to continue discussing.

Alternatively I live at 148 Capstone Road Charminster if you want to do me up the arse, I'm quite loose after the hammering I've taken from Sony.

At the moment you're the equivalent of those people in the highstreet who are content to shout out to anyone passing by that God is great and that we're all ****ing sinners. Opinions are fine, but I'm guessing that yours aren't needed in this particular thread, as you're not adding anything useful at all.

Oh and I couldn't care less about freedom of speech so there

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, I'm not.

I guess that's down to personal opinion. I understand your point, but when you pay for a game, the manual, the case, the disc, that is all part of the price.

Look it's obvious that you don't like the machine. So why not spout about it elsewhere and leave the people who genuinely are happy about the purchase to continue discussing.
Sorry to burst your preconcieved bubble, but I actually *DO* like the machine, I just don't think it's value for money and I feel that the games being the prices they are is a rip-off for the consumer, and a step in the wrong direction for the future of gaming, with digital downloads costing more than disc based media.

However, I will go "spout" about it elsewhere and leave you to revel in a one-sided love-fest with absolutely no nay-saying, counter-arguement, or negativity whatsoever. I'm starting to understand where Spatial is coming from at the moment.

Oh and with regards to your edited additional paragraph, way to prove my point. Pathetic.

I do care about freedom of speech, which is why I'm gonna call you a "prick" and then leave you to your precious thread.

                      Enjoy your little bubble.

                      Sorry, forgot the smiley.

                        Did **** just get real?

Anyone tried Socom Fireteam Bravo 2?

Jebus mentioned Castlevania, I don't see this on PSP store.

You didn't forget the smiley. You just didn't want to add it. I know your game Jebus.

I'm glad you like the machine, and you're right, it's horribly overpriced (I'd be happier with a £150) but people are obviously content to buy it, so coming along and calling all of us idiots for buying it, (which you did before you deny it or re edit it) is just as pathetic. It's like coming into my house while I'm entertaining other people and ****ting on my floor just so you can make a point and get everyone to look at you, before realising that we're all caked in the stuff and eating it anyway.

It's a positive thread about the PSP Go and you're moaning about counter arguments and people not liking the fact you're disagreeing with them. What on earth did you expect mate? "Oh Jebus, you're right off course, aren't we silly ***** for buying one. Well done Jebus, you've made me feel like a right tosser."

                          Honestly...

I reckon if I was Sony, I would of went "sell it for 225, there will be a good load of wallys that'll throw moneys are way. Yeah, them ones with Gadgetitus".

                              And here we all are

I have it on my PS3 from the US store. Will I be able to tranfer that baby over onto my GO?
