No. Phantasy Star Portable is available on UMD. It is only 4 player Ad-Hoc if I remember correctly.

Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be out in Japan on 3rd Dec and I believe that will have online play.

I imagine we'll see it on the PS Store in 2028.

I bought Mercury last night and played a few levels. I saved it and exited game. Went in today and my save is not there. The Continue Game option is greyed out. Strange, hope its not a bug on the Go to do with the difference between onboard storage and the memory stick

In other exciting news, I bought Castlevania: SotN - it's the first Castlevania game I've ever played. I didn't know how to beat Dracula so turned it off and played WipEout instead. Indeed, I think I've been truly dumbed down in recent times by hand-holding tutorials in games; it's incredible how much front ends and game openings have changed since the PSone days.

PS. Vice City had better turn up on the US store today - I ain't gonna purchase from the UK store unless Sony sort out this DRM/profile malarkey.

PPS. Ridge Racer 2 had better be on its way too. The demo is just taunting me.

Hmm, it looks like the kind of thing I'd love to play in co-op, but less so on my tod.

If you can get access to adhoc party there are always players online. And once you get to grips with it, you should be able to solo without too much trouble, especially with the felyne companion to act as a decoy.

Hell, I'm always up for an excuse to play this online so if anyone wants a hand lemme know.

I have the US prinny, but I doubt most people want to be constantly changing the profile on their PSP just becuase games are cheaper in different regions, the game shouldnt be about 4 times more expensive in this country than in the US.

Indeed. I thought Digital Distribution was meant to bring parity to prices across regions.

PS3 downloadable content has been pretty good at keeping prices around about the same between Europe and the US, so I'm pretty surprised at the kind of price differences the PSP content is suffering from.

It's one of only two games I have ever returned simply because I hated it. The other being Star Wars Attack of the Clones on GBA. I suspect Monster Hunter would be great online but, solo, it unbelievably boring. At least that's what I found.

I find Monster Hunter incredibly challening on my own. That's not to say I won'ty be looking into this adhoc thing. In other news I am stupidly close to buying Sega Mega Drive collection.
