Can you switch in and out multiple memory cards or do you need to do that whole factory reset thing every time you switch?

Just heard (on a podcast) that the power supply can be inserted into the vita the wrong way round, whereby it doesn't charge. Is this the case on UK models too?

I've managed this with my UK Wifi, so it's not impossible to occur. In my defense, it was late and I was sat in bed with it with the lights out. No harm done, just take the cable out and stick it in the right way.

As long as your not changing region or account yes, no resetting needed.

When the screen is black and the ambient light low, I have a massive black line on the bottom of the screen, and kinda spots/marks all over the place. This is very noticable in low light (Like on the areoplane) and I wonder if this is a defect, or just a side effect of OLED? It is a 1.5cm long stripe at the bottom of the screen from left to right. Not noticable unless the sceen is dark, Uncharted loading screens being a good example. I have googled, and not found any conclusive information.

I have a feeling the unit was opened before I got it, as there were fingerprints on the screen, the seal sticked was half peeled back and also there was no plastic screen protector on the device. Does anyone know if they come with any protective screen stickers normally?

I have that as well, not a line but blur when the screen is TOTALLY inactive. When it is told to produce a black it goes away.

My unit did have the iPhone piece of plastic on it yes.

I've seen a few people posting about blotches & spots on black screens elsewhere and it seems to be a 'characteristic' of OLED displays, rather than a fault. Not sure about the dark stripe along the bottomsalthough a couple of people on AV Forums seem to have it too (posts 18 & 21): http://www.avforums.com/forums/ps-vi...eck-yours.html

My Vita was definitely unopened and it didn't have a screen protector on it either. Just sitting inside a thick white plastic bag.

Thanks guys. Really annoying in dark scenes, as I do have to fly a lot for work, and the sleeper flights are always dark.

Still, it looks amazing in normal scenes!

When I use my vita in the dark it the screen looks somewhat misty, doesn't happen when I play it in a lot room though, is a bit weird.

Just noticed this myself last night too. As has been suggested it is most likely a side effect of the OLED screen or whatever it's coated with. Can't say I approve of the material, I've still lose the "sticky" feeling I get with it - my fingers don't glide smoothly over it. I did come across a demo unit in HMV which was fine though so obviously it vanishes over time and use.
