Retribution was being developed by Bend Studios. Nihilistic just sucks.

Resistance was a dying franchise anyway so I doubt Sony really cared, but its time for Sony to give the Vita some Triple A treatment. They're releasing a new device and all they do so far is letting B-studios work on its software much like it was on the PSP. Now Golden Abyss turned out to be good, its writing and design is still not close to what Naughty Dog offers.

Another fail is that there still is no great FPS on this system which most important feature is the dual stick control.

It looks like Gravity Rush is the first game I will buy since the launch of the Vita. And beyond that? god knows. MGS HD is something I likely prefer on Ps3 (besides, its another port).

Limited to what exactly? They do pretty much everything anything else can do but in one box. A PS3 can be an entire entertainment system if you so wish.

Still? In the eon that has been the 16 weeks it has been out you mean? Unit 13 is damned good. Perfectly suited for a handheld.

PS3? You mean that limited box that you cannot take outside? Hold on...

On a Unit 13 related note, is the game still weighed down with crippling bugs or has someone pulled out the finger and done something about it?

What's the crippling bugs? Admittedly I've only completed just under half of the single player missions and not utilised any of the online functions but I seriously haven't noticed anything weighing it down particularly. Quite the opposite, I've gone back to it fairly regularly, due to the fact that I can pick it up and play for a short period, even after not touching it for a week and for that reason I don't intend to part with it until I do get round to completing it entirely.

Apparently a lot of people were finding that it completely crashed their system. Sounds good to me!

That was pre-update wasn't it? I've had zero problems with mine.

First Play thread posters have encountered similar problems post update too.

I've had no issues with mine since the day it came out. I love it actually. Was thinking of trading it in towards Resistance but I think I may hold onto it.

Seems a mixed bag on reviews with burning skies, some give it 8/10 some give it 4/10
Not sure what do to do now

...and in that 16 weeks the Vita has no less than 17 titles currently rated at 70% or above on metacritic making it quite possibly the strongest console launch amongst the current generation. Yet still people complain, eh!

That sure is some cavalier thinking, J0e. Need to be careful with thoughts like that!

The trouble is the few games released since launch aren't generally ones people want to play or buy a system for. Few would argue that the Vita itself is less than brilliant as a handheld but its certainly the games which are the weak point, the sales figures are a reflection of this. The same 16 weeks were devastating for Nintendo with the 3DS due to not having the proper support in place to justify the cost hence their embarrassing turnaround which thankfully revived the systems fortunes. At this point, next week is the real decider as Sony announces the next round of games, hopefully we'll see games of real quality and appeal announced as if they mess up this fall the Vita will never get the support the machine deserves going onward.
