My has developed screen burn from the Wake Up Club app. The are a load of digital clock "8"'s permanently displayed on it. You can't see it most of the time, but on the initial grey "peel" page following boot up or from auto-standby it's quite apparent.

Dedicated handhelds are on the way back indeed. 3DS is mainly saved by raving success in Japan, who typically seem to hold on to old traditions for slightly longer. I reckon Vita is the last dedicated gaming handheld ever. Perhaps Nintendo is going to try one final time... But i dunno. If Wii U catches on they might as well go the tablet route.
As for gameplay, I think that will ultimately find its way in some form. Perhaps we're all playing Call of Duty online on a tablet in the future and not looking back.

EDIT - I am really not up on gaming news, it already has already been announced apparently! Back in Feb! Surely this will ensure Vita sells by the bucketload!!!???Last edited by englishbob; 18-06-2012, 10:24.

The EDF game looks like a retooled version of the most recent console version, seems very familiar at least.
Personally, I'm not expecting COD to make much of a difference to the Vita's fortunes now. Thinking about it, I think people will consider Declassified in the same light as they did Big Red One, Mobilized etc rather than as a big must have like the core entries sell.

I think it is EDF 2017 not EDF: Insect Armageddon.

Went to my local ASDA lunchtime, they have scaled back the Vita presence quite a bit now. On lauch they had just about every release game going, now they have just 3 titles. And they have put it with the PS3 section. Looks pretty weird on the poster to have a 160GB PS3 for ?189 next to a PS Vita Wifi for ?217.

Its quite a large Tesco.

I brought my Vita on launch day and enjoyed it for about a month or so and was really looking forward to see what was going to be anounced at E3 and there was nothing. What really concerns me with the Vita is just as the 3DS launch there was very little on the horizon short term but Nintendo did what i thought was a great job of showing new games coming last year and what was already in development to look forward this year so i was able to be patient and wait. Sony just dont seem to have anything planned and im sorry but they cannot just rely on making the system able to play PS1 games, not being funny i love old PS1 games but i did not pay ?200+ for a so called state of the art hardwhere for that.
The Vita could very well be a dead console by Xmas if not carefull. I just dont understand why Sony bothered with Vita if this is the way its going to be supported.

IM worried as well. a few well more than a few developers have cancelled there vita games, we all know we will get Fifa 13 ,and the likes, but we need really big hitters we all knew nintendo had mario games up there sleeves, but they still pee me off wasnt paper mario suppose to be in the launch window, its a worring time for vita owners in my opinion , ok there metal gear solid HD but ive played those games so many times as good as they are.
