The alarm clock app sucks. It causes screen-burn.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

Wow. I didn't know that it was even possible to cause screen burn on an OLED screen due to the lack of phosphor coating. Thanks for the heads up.

I have to agree in that im not so certain COD will be the system seller Sony hopes its going to be. For one thing we dont really know a single thing about it yet, i think it was a rather poor announcement in the first place without having a single screen shot of what could be expected.

The lack of support from shops is really bad which really does not help, oddly enough the best source of games i have seen are in my local large Tesco, but the problem is they are still only stocking the launch games, nothing that has been released since is stocked. I do think the biggest concern as an PSV owner is when i look at the list of games scheduled for release between now and Xmas there is hardly anything being released at all let alone AAA/system seller games. Compare this to the 3DS and its not encouging.

I do love it when they say launching sometime this summer, well that could be anytime between now and September lol, i mean how long does it take, its not as if they have any games in the making Then again its pretty sad as PSV owner who spent quite a bit of money on it just to be looking forward to FF7 on the move, not quite what i what brought the system for but right now it will be something decent to play on it

On a related note, it seems like Sony Europe might be slowly switching over to 60Hz games. I notice you can purchase the US version of Resident Evil 2 and 3 on the store now. Has this been going on for some time?

That is annoying beyond belief. I have 16 PS1 games on my US account precisely because SCEE couldn't pull their finger out and release 60Hz versions for the EU store. Really irritated that the Vita doesn't allow PS3-style account switching, as I'd really like to play some of them on there but I'm not reformatting the machine every time I want to play a PS1 game.

anyone had issues with the vita ? several times blazblue got a error message when booting and would not work and had to remove from the screen and put the game memory card back in to reinstall (and lost my saves as a result)

Yeah, once with Wipeout. But you can actually restore your saves and I could continue where I left off. I think I used Rebuild Database.

Yeah, this will probably be the deciding moment for me. If the game selection is good and they look and play great on my Vita, I'll keep it. But if the game selection is weak and they end up looking blurry, or having a gimped saving function, I'll sell it. No other games in the pipeline I want for the console, and I already have both a bc PS3 and an original PSX hooked up.

Problem is the Vita is now probably not worth selling so may as well hold onto now. I had a quick look on Gamefaqs to see what is showing for release and i have to say im shocked with how little is listed, unless there is a load of games to be revealed then the short term future is not good. Another thing that is not that good with Vita is how little even Sony mags cover the Vita, in this month Off PS mag there is only about 3/4 pages, when in the Nintendo mags there is plenty of coverage for the DS/3DS.

I really do wonder why Sony even bothered with a handheld console if this is the way they support it, and its just such a shame because it really is a good bit of kit.

De update voegt de ondersteuning toe voor PlayStation Classics, ofwel games die afstammen van de eerste PlayStation – ook wel PS One genoemd. Dit maakte Sony onlangs bekend tijdens een aankondiging van […]
