The actual 3DS console design seems rushed to me. That top lid protruding over the bottom one. The bottom screen border pressing against the top one. The wobbly hinge, the 2.5 hour battery life and the different size/aspect rations of the 2 screens. Add to that the problem I had with the 3d and I was left very disappointed. I love Wipeout and I love Ninja gaiden so having those 2 as launch titles piques my interested. Add in uncharted and that's 3 games that I REALLY want at launch. That's a good launch for me personally. I still won't get one at launch because the days of me paying the launch price premium for things are over and I'm not paying ?2 a gig for storage either. Lastly I want to see how the unit and games review from a UK perspective.

Mingol 6 is exactly the same as the five main games, and numerous spin-offs that came before it, so I don't really see how you can count that as a quality title. It's just a lazy effort to shift units. RR, is the worst launch version ever. Uncharted offers nothing new over the PS3 games IMO. UMvC3 the same. I am yet to try any of the other game
I really don't know what people expect from HH launches. To me you like to have 1 or 2 (at a push) good titles and one which shows off the Hardware and does stuff that it's predecessors couldn't do. To me Vita does that with Uncharted and Hot Shots Golf

I'm still confused. Unless you are Japanese, TTT was a launch title in YOUR region. You know, domestic being the place where you live. As far as I remember it was actually released a day before the hardware. So again. Erm, yer. </thumbs up>
I think you have missed my point TBH. I shall however make it easy for you. There is currently NO killer app for Vita.Kept you waiting, huh?

Ah you mean personally? Well, that's fair enough. I wouldn't buy a Vita just for that game either. Same as if Modern Warfare was available for it. Doesn't mean it's not a killer app for the masses though. As I say, for domestic launch Wipeout and Ninja Gaiden are almost system sellers for me. I will get Uncharted as well but on its own that wouldn't be enough.

i havent played the vita yet, but there seems to be a clear disapointment from those on here who have
i think the vita launch stuff is too familiar - we have had UC stuff overload for the last few years and RR7 spoiled us big time - the fact that the vita RR seems to be a watered down RR7 - technically poorer, dlc activated etc is a big disapointment and was the final straw for me not importing. The golf game too, whilst being realy nice, probably is no different to the ps3 version, most of us have rinsed.
I hope wipeout is different enough form the recent Ps3 HD versions. MVC3 doesnt really interest me - i never could play those type of fighting games on a handheld, especially with the reported d-pad on the vita - my idea of hell really.
I do think the vita will really shine in 6 months - 1 year time, but yeah a poor launch by the sound of it. I was there at the japanese ps2 launch and it was awesome, but that was a console launch, no at a handheld launch and its abit unfair to compare a handheld to a console in terms of graphics etc RRV, TTT blew me away. Its hard to go back to RRV after RR7 though, its now very clunky.
Why they didnt create new games (a new racing , fighting, and fps) for the vita launch is beyond me, instead of giving us the usual faces. Are sony now short of a bob or two?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the day Sony finally put a Call of Duty/Modern Warfare on it, with cross platform play/stats sharing and cut the price slightly, is when it'll start flying off the shelves. Until then, it's going to be a 3DS situation - moderate success from the hardcore buyers, then tailing off, then panic, then recovery.

Uncharted makes a lot of sense as a launch title, though not as big as the biggest franchises it's one that's a highly regarded exclusive that's popularity is on the rise whereas many of the others such as GT or Halo have recent issues with either declining sales or diminished reputation. Looking at the Sony owned first party franchises it's probably the one that makes the most sense. A Call of Duty would prove hugely decisive for the format though Sony would do well to secure a fully featured exclusive entry rather than a cut down port of the annual main entries.

Now going on past history of consoles launched in their homeland . Vita launch isn't that brilliant or that poor , even console I've bought on launch day (imported) have only ever had about 2 games worth buying. The only really exception to that rule was the USA launch of the X-Box with had a number of quailty games worth getting from day one and boy did my VISA know it
Looking at Uncharted and Hot Shots on Vita, they both look quality games and Uncharted also pushed the 'Look at me button' and is showing off GFX that previous HH just couldn't handle Just the sort of thing I like when buying New Hardware.
