Play leaks some of the games that will probably be announced at Friday's event:

GTA: Vice City Nights (woot)
Final Fantasy Type-0
Monster Hunter Portable 3
Tales of Innocence-R

Obv the last three are just announcements of localisations, but still. I imagine Type-0 will be a beefed up version of the original with better graphics.

Got my replacement Vita yesterday, glad I did! I see the normal "Mist" around the edge of the screen, but not a massive black line at the bottom as per my first unit. So even though OLED does suffer spotting/misting, the unit that I had was obviously defective, as it wasn't a mist like the new one, it was more like a strip of glue along the bottom that completey changed the colours.

Now I see what people mean, yes the mist is an irritation in black scenes, but you can't notice it as soon as even a pale colour is onscreen.

One of my friends units has a funny tinge on one end of the screen.
Not sure if anyone else has had ps3 USB connection issues? But mine only connects via USB on port one on my ps3.
If I connect it via any other port it goes into a connect / disconnect loop.
Fyi my ps3 is a launch 60gig JP unit.

Hmmm I'm pretty sure I've been using the second port on my ps3 with the first taken by the eye toy.

EDIT: that's on my Asian slim... I'll try it out on my launch model when I'm home.

Same issue here, on a JPN launch unit and a PAL Slim console.

is there any point to the remote play function?

set it up and can happily browse the ps3 using it but anything I try to open says "media cannot be used in remote play".

do the games etc need to be specifically designed to use it or am I being dim??

I just bought one of these, initial setup I get the end of setting up wifi then it says i need to update the software, how are you meant to do it? it keeps going back to the previous screen when i hit next.
