Only loaded up FFVI and the colours do look lovely on the screen. Where are the display and control options for the PS1 games on Vita? I can't find them.

i havent tried anything yet, but i believe you just press the screen for a few seconds and it pops up like with psp games.

Just get a US account, make your Vita a US Vita and be done with it.

Then I have the same problem with my UK stuff.

As for surprises, this was always the case with the Vita and the segregation of stores was always the case with PSN so there should be no surprises. Maybe people just like surprises? That said, the fact that we have US versions of the Resident Evil games on the UK store and some other imports that were never released physically here does set a precedent and I can certainly understand a desire to see much more of that.

The PS1 support has somewhat highlighted the drawbacks of the new system menu layout compared with the XMB. For example, is it possible to catagorise games? I now have three pages worth of icons, about 4 of which I actually use.

Not defending the ui on vita (it's crap) but you can move the icons about. I put system stuff on one page, vita games on next, psp on next, ps1 on bottom.

Its a shame such great hardware has been reduced to ps1 games being big news.

On a UI related comment wouldn't the xmb of worked just as well on a touchscreen? If its not broken after all.

Why the hell is Phantasy Star Portable 2 still not available for download. I bought the damn thing in a US account ages ago.

I would have swapped to US only, but I have too many UK PSP games now.

Amazon seem to have a joker on their staff. Searching "PS Vita Games" lists the games with the format description next to them. All fine till you get to Vitua Tennis and UMVC and Army Corps where the format is listed as 3DO:

I thought PSOne games would be up on the Vita store today (Eurogamer also says something like this on their update), but they're not there? Is the store not refreshed yet, too early in the day still?

Went on the PS3 store. A sale on some PS1 titles it seems. Bought Legacy of Kain and the good Tomb Raider games (the first three ones) for around 8 quid. A hassle to do it this way, as I have to dig out my permanently installed Vita charging cable to transfer the games, but it's Sony's way or the highway.

Gamesradar seem to think playing PS1 games on the Vita is the best way to play them.
