I didn't know if you all already know this, but No More Heroes is out on the PS3 NEXT FRIDAY!!!!!!! (not sure where the 360 version is!) Thats 20th May.

I only found this out from browsing the US import shop NCSX. UK Marketing FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT- unless we are getting ****ed over as the US release isn't until August which may include the new game (Red Zone edition). Wouldn't put it past them.

This is gonna be down to pennies within a few weeks I bet. Nobody is going to buy a full price game that is available on Wii for a fiver anywhere.

I mean, I'd pay ?40, but I'll wait as I know what the UK game market is like.

This is supposed to be out by the 19th in Holland, priced at 39,- which is a budget price.

Its at the same day as LA Noire which is kind of bad timing. I do want it though, I quit playing the Asian version as soon as this was announced as this one won't be censored.

I thought the red zone edition was just the us/eu version ported over to Japan? ala international editions of final fantasy.

Yes, Red Zone will be the same game as the one we'll getting.

            Straight from Marvelous:

“While the Western release is called Heroes’ Paradise, it has little to nothing to do with the previously released Heroes’ Paradise in Japan on the 360 and PS3. The upcoming Red Zone (Heroes’ Paradise in the West) was a wholly new development effort, and shares very little code in common with the Japanese Heroes’ Paradise. The performance and graphical issues that plagued the Japanese release have been done away with, and a bunch of extra features have been added.

You can think of Red Zone like an ‘International’ version of the game; a lot like how certain Japanese series get ‘International’ re-releases in Japan after they’ve debuted abroad. Although, where those International releases tend to get unique, never-before-seen features (new job systems, side stories, etc), there’s no difference between Red Zone and the Western Heroes’ Paradise (other than one being Japanese and the other in English).
I didn't even know that they fixed the performance also, but thats great news as the JP version by Feel Plus wasn't all that hot in terms of performance and the load times were atrocious.

is this the latest version for the 360 and the one with the option to change to English?

360 NMH has Japanese text but full English voices. Helps if you have played the game before as the tutorial can be hard to get through if you don't remember the different moves. I had to randomly press buttons a few times to finish the tutorial but it can be skipped.

Buyer beware! It will crash after every 2-3 hours. Save often.

The PS3 version has both voices I believe, no crashing here either.

This seems to add weight to the fact that the UK/US version of Paradise that is out this week is the same as the forthcoming JPN Red Zone version.

Also on the Konami US site the game is down as being Rated M for mature as it has:
This title is rated Mature (M) for:

                      Blood and Gore
                      Crude Humor
                      Intense Violence
                      Partial Nudity
                      Sexual Themes
                      Strong Language

Also (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!) This page talks of more similarities!

Fingers crossed it's right! Still will no doubt be all over the net later this week!

Here is another link of interest - taken from a German site (hence the subs) - the first ten minutes of the game - blood and decapitations are in!

                        Clicky!

And one more thing, the German cover for the game has a little tag saying '100% Uncut'

                        (Sorry about IMG size!)

Indeed, 100% uncut, blood and decaps on the PS3.

So far, it feels very similar to the Wii version, but playing it with a PS3 pad is actually better for me! Looking forward to having a crack with Move too though! :-D The gameplay hasn't aged that badly, and now when playing it all I can think of is Scott Pilgrim!

Sounds like you have a copy already Jebus?!

I missed this on the Wii so really looking forward to getting a play this time around. Considering investing in a Move controller kit too. Do you know if you need the other Move controller - the motion controller is it? You know the one that ISN'T the one with the coloured ball on the top of it?!

I loved to play NMH with the DS3, I'm not going to rebuy the Move for this.

I do have it mate, yes. (Can post a pic if need be).

I haven't actually tested it with move yet, but given the nature of the gameplay, I'd be amazed if you didn't need both, as it's a third person slash em at heart, so you'd need the left stick to move, and right stick for camera. As with all Move enabled games though, you don't need the navigation controller, you can use the DS3, but it's just more comfortable to use the navi.
