Has a videogame ever made you cry?

Has a videogame ever made you cry, or made you feel upset and emotional?

It could be a sad cut scene, it could be a really old videogame that makes you feel nostalgic for older times, or something else...

It's never happened to me, as I only tend to play shallow games like Bomberman, Monkey Ball and Bust-a-move, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has experienced such emotions.

Never cried, but I have been "emotional" when playing FF3/6j in certain sections.

I've never cried, but when I first discovered sid music and C64 emulation I felt kind of emotional and moved, especially with games like X-Out and Golden Axe that I used to play with my late father.

So many memories just came flooding back... I am a very nostalgic person, probably too much.

Final Fantasy 8.

IMO the closest a game has come to having a perfect balance of emotion and action/drama

Some scenese were just so emotional and, well, beautifully created. I'd love to play it through again but I just don't have the time to commit to it.

I wouldnt say cry, but there was a very definite lump in my throat at the end of the first disc.

Definately FF8. One in perticular is the scene when Squall rescues rinoa from space and they have a big hug...awwwww

The original Klonoa for the PSOne. The ending had me crying a bit. So sad.

Quick edit: I had a lump at the end of Cool Cool Toon when Amp (or Spica, whoever you were playing with) was spit out of the TV after finishing the last stage, and starting hugging and pushing against the TV looking for Yusa. Would've gone further had Yusa not suddenly appeared and pulled them back in.
