RE Revelations is possibly the game I'm looking forward to most, not sure if I'll bother with Mercenaries though, wasn't a massive fan of that mode really, though if it has bits from Resi Zero to 5 it'd be rude not to.

I also want to hear more about the Ubi games.

Two words stain boy - do it.

I honestly don't believe this. Sure, I haven't played it but after reading the recent Iwata asks interview on the title, I'm prepared to say that I'll probably get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

It seems to me that the title is almost a throwback to older games when the word 'simulation' on the boxes blurb actually mean't something. Concessions are sure to have been made for the current generation but I get the feeling Miyamoto has made this game with a very specific group of gamers in mind.

Anyway I'm more than happy to wait for the reviews to come in, where people have had the chance to really explore the game properly. If I sat someone in front of Silent Service for only 5 mins and expected them to enjoy it, I'd be nuts..

For anyone in Manchester, there is a big 3DS display on in the Arndale outside Next. Over 20 machines there with games on them to play apparently

I wish I could get down there and have a go. Off to Wales tomorrow. Might nip down Sunday and see if it's still on. If you go tomorrow can you ask when it's on till?

Can someone with access to a Japanese unit please answer this for me:
Can you use the notepad feature (the one where you press 'Home' etc.) when playing old DS games?

Lol they are hardly going to say how bad it is they want you to buy it. Bland boring graphics, slow gameplay that gives no sense of achievement, awful touch screen controls that have you sliding buttons along a bar to move, I just did not get on with it. Each to his own I guess.

I HATE THIS ****ING LAPTOP IT'S GOING OUT THE ****ING WINDOW SOON.

I'm not bothering retyping what I said but which online place is most likely to have stock on launch? Bare in mind I am wary of Amazon. My indie store has now given up due to being undercut by the bigboys, which is a shame as I'd have paid for to support them. I also want a job there.

I'm not used to pre ordering, do they take your money when you make the order or when they ship the goods? I'm hoping to move between now and then and would be happier for the money to come out after. Of course you could say "don't buy it" well...

Tbh, best thing to do to guarantee you get one. Pre-order at your local GAME or Gamestation and pick it up on the day. That's the best thing I think I can recommend.

Even then, you might miss out. Best idea is to go to GAME first thing in the morning and mug anyone who comes out with a bag.

Gamestation is having midnight opening but I actually went with HMV as it was £209 with Splinter Cell which I don't mind having. I liked Double Agent on the 360. I'm really not in the mood for any thing cute.

I mean I could always preorder with Gamestation as well and turn up at the midnight opening then sell one of them but I REALLY don't want to stand in a queue with all those people that late, and will they do it at every store? This is Norwich after all, I don't think it knows what midnight is Though I am bloody surprised they're having one of their pre launch events here.

Norwich is doing the midnight opening, wish I found that list earlier. Even tiny little towns are doing it.... although if I move where I want to it's gonna be bloody hard to get there and back. Might just stick with HMV, I don't like crowds or being stuck in a queue for hours next to people I'm too tired to speak to.

I've not got one, but I'm certain I read that no, you can't. Think it was on eurogamer's review of the console itself.

Having spent the day demoing Face Raiders to customers I get more and more impressed with the 3DS each time I use it.

It's comfy, the black finish is gorgeous and you kind of work out how hard to focus on the screen to get the most comfortable viewing experience. I have the screen brightness set to 4 and the slider at 50% and I've found the menus to be crisp and clear unlike the blurry mess I experienced with a different unit last week so it's very much trial and error to get the optimum experience.

I just desperately want some full retail games! The AR cards are fun but I want something like Pilotwings to sit there with and sink into!!
