These screen protectors look pretty good, ordered a set. Hori have made it a lot easier to apply too as they have invented a new system of putting them on.
Looks kind of tricky in the vid but once you watch a couple of times it is easy to figure out

Interesting article on Kotaku, on how one of their writers is sick of the 3D effect. He does state that the 3DS is still good enough even without 3D.Comment

games you play via R4 show up on your gaming log and are, apparently, undeletable. Nintendo saying R4 usage invalidates warranty - anyone with non-legit games on thier machine gets no service/warranty.Good news everyone.

One of the comments made an intersting point that it may just take time to get used to the 3D effect, there's the brains part to consider as well as your eyes part. Time will tell I guess.
On a side note, how much are people looking foward to the NGP? Personally, I'm not that interested in at the moment, I've had a look around on the net and can't see what the fuss is all about, though I might well end up getting one at launch, not sure.
I don't like Sony very much though, so I might get a 2nd hand one so they won't get any money off me, though I prefer new stuff, decisions, decisions...Comment

I don't know many people who have not experienced any ill side effects at first. I had a screaming headache and felt sick after the first time i played it. Since then, i've been fine. I'm a huge fan of the PSP - think it's a great machine with a good library. The NGP is the power angle on handhelds - and if the rumoured PS2 BC is confirmed then that'll be even more exciting. The worry I have with the 3D is that I'll get some of the side effects I get watching 3D movies.
After watching films I really find that my eyes struggle to focus properly when leaving the cinema. I have to make a conscious effort to properly focus them for a while.Comment

Yussss, got my pre-order in at Game today. Went in after work and had a wee shot for a good half hour or so. Mucked about with the AR cards, Faceraiders and taking 3D photos.
Thought it was awesome. Took me a minute at first to work out how to focus on the bloody things as my eyes were just squeegee!
Obviously these little mini games are pointless when compared to a proper retail game but the tech really impressed me so I'm alot more excited about the launch now. Do none of the stores have any games? They didn't seem to know if or when they would get any games before launch to play on. Ordered PilotWings and Ridge Racer anyway but might swap RR for Splinter Cell nearer the time if we find any more news out about it and it looks decent.
Even taking 3D pictures of the room around you worked brilliantly. So impressive to have a wee 3D screen right in your hands without the need for glasses.
Better book a holiday now for the 25th before it's too late. Hopefully I'll get a midnight launch in the Braehead shopping centre store anddd I might be going on a long bus trip the day after now for a career fair so perfect 3DS timing.
