Nintendo REALLY haven't helped put a stop to the mod community with locking the hardware. Now even more people will be seeking workarounds, but for perfectly legitimate reasons.

Just realized this is out on a Sunday, so anyone who has ordered online and desperate for day one release will either get it delivered on the day before on a Saturday or the day after on Monday.

I went to Blockbusters earlier and they have an half decent deal where you get the console for ?209 and a months free rentals which will come in handy to try all of the games out, plus they're also doing a midnight launch.

Has anyone got an NTSC-U 3DS preordered for import into Europe?

Gamestop won't ship 3DSs out of the US
I'm a bit put off by play-asia since they are charging the world for an NTSCU-J version

Amazon.com have it at the right price but you have to pay upfront for TAX ad a large delivery bill.

videogamesplus.ca (this would be my first hoice) don't have the hardware up for preorder yet and neither do estarland.com

Eurogamer have reviewed RR, Pilotwings and SSFIV.

Eurogamer has reviews for Pilotwings, Ridge Racer and Street Fighter but I think they are based on Jap copies. Total blackout on the other games.
I am getting very suspicious of the Ubisoft games. Only this week they released a gamplay vid of Ghost Recon. Nothing at all on Rayman or Spliter Cell.
I think DOA and PES 2011 are safe bets though

Still waiting for them. Asked why it's taking so long and they replied that are waiting for precise numbers from their dealer(s).

I had the exact same reply, only months ago. It's really odd that they are taking this stance. I don't remember it being like that for the ds's launch?

If I could have pre-ordered with them I might very well have gone for a US machine. As it is Amazon UK have my order.

Haven't bought the DS at launch but I do remember the months-long waiting line for getting a Wii from them (and I ordered it the day it went online), don't know if they had the same problem with the PS3 but probably they want to be extra sure on how long it woul take to honor preorders after the initial batch.
