What's the case everyone has been buying here? I saw a link but can't find it. Does it get scratched to bits without one?

Plus does it need screen protectors? I know the screen on this is like a mirror. I never had a screen protector for my original DS. Sorry for the dumb questions.

I'm still using the case I got for my dslite. It was nintendos official hardcase one that came with a natty cleaning cloth. Fits the 3ds great.

Personally I wouldn't bother with screen protectors. It is a clam shell design after all. Just get a decent cloth, that's all you need.

Loving rr on this. The 3d effect is superb in bumper cam. Got a couple of ghost tracks recently and one of them's a git! I'll do him eventually tho..

Really looking forward to Zelda because it's been so long since I played it. DoA is the other game I really want I think it'll work really well with handheld controls.

3D mode for ages 7+
Is that standard text for the boxes? Do younger kids have eye compatability issues or something?

They don't want to take risks on the effects the 3D might have on developing eyes. I'm willing to bet at least a few people will take that text to mean that it will work on old 2D DSs and DSis and there'll be a few angry shop returns.

Am I the only one who was shocked to discoverd Zelda OTT 3DS isn't being developed by Nintendo In-House?

No real research on the effects on small kids but their eyesight is still in development at that stage (which is why so many kids have to wear eye patches to correct lazy eyes). On the slight chance 3D does have an effect Nintendo can say they did warn parents.

Zelda has actually been outsourced which I didn't realise. The developer handling it is Grezzo (made up of former Mana franchise staff, did Line attack heroes). Probably means notable original content is pretty unlikely.

Thanks for the info mate . I'll get a cloth of some sort and maybe the official case. Wish I had a spare case lying around.

My 3DS case finally turned up from Play-Asia - so hopefully those who are waiting for theirs, it'll come soon.

As much as I want the 3DS for when Zelda arrives, I think I'll wait until the second incarnation of the system. It's inevitable Nintendo are going to release an improved version of the system, probably with better viewing angles, improved battery life and bigger screens.

The main reason for my decision to wait is because there are still a **** ton of DS games I want to buy and play, like Solatorobo . Also, I'm playing on a XL and don't want to play my DS games on the current 3DS screens.

I'll get the 3DS, no doubt, but I'll wait for it's inevitable update before doing so.

Not a single 3DS title made the top 40. That's pretty incredible.

The 3DS isn't having a good time at the moment in terms of sales.
