I'm not relying on them for day of release stuff anymore, my Marvel vs Capcom 3 pre-order arrived on the Saturday, and it took them over a week to get my Tactics Ogre pre-order to me.

I'd imagine most retail shops are doing games at near full price (gotta make some amount of money). They're £35 at tesco.

I went to the launch party thing (+25 spot pass!), where they were doing 3DS + a game for £219.

Most people were there for the bands - I think Sky are showing it in 3D this evening at 11pm.

Oh yeah, PAL game cases are about 20% thicker, I don't think anyone had noticed that yet.

FYI Games in GAME are £24.99 when bought with a system or £39.99 on their own. Bargain! *not*

I was picking up my Crysis 2 pre-order for £4.99 and saw two people about to buy them and felt annoyed myself that people were paying £245 for one game and the console that I wanted to tell them to stop.

Also, slightly amusing but looking at a PC screen now after 4 hours of playing the 3DS it's like my eyes are trying to make the screen a 3d image. o.O

Right just got my UK one and the first thing i did was try my Japanese SSF4 and RR on the UK one and UK PES2011 on my Japanese unit. Neither of them worked... so Region locking is 100%. And just to confirm UK boxes are thicker then the JP ones.

Haven't played Nintendogs (well, not the 3DS ones anyway) but Pilot Wings is great. Nice graphics and 3D effect, I like the gameplay - can be relaxing but when trying to get 3 stars (or 100% points) is challenging and a little frustrating! Makes good use of the analogue nub and is probably one of those games that is best played at launch as will probably seem a bit Yoshi Touch and Go after a year or so.

Just got back from game collecting my store credit

Picked up Pilotwings, Ghost recon and monkey ball as they let me have for £25 notes.

I also picked up the Official nintendo starter kit £15. Comes with Case (Holds DS + 4 games), games holders (hold 4 games) 2 stylus, Earphones (look cheap) and screen protector.

The reason I mention it is that I saw in this thread but cant find it now that sombody had problems with the madkatz protectors. Im crap at these things never got one on my iphone in about 10 goes but got these on 1st time. So looks like they are good quality and dummy proof! The case is alright but doesnt seem to shut flush cause of the Nintendo logo but will do for now as it was all free
