To be honest I'm disappointed. It's just the boring black one with a decal on the lid, Nintendo's done much better with the Japanese releases of their 3DS LE's

Ouendan was July 2005, Yoshi's Touch and Go! was the end of January 2005 so I guess they both count. Famicom Wars DS was also out within the first year, as was Super Princess Peach.
Notable 3DS releases in the first year that spring to mind for me include: Gundam The 3D Battle, Tales of the Abyss (remake), Starfox 64 3D (remake), The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (remake), Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Monster Hunter 3G.
Looks like the 3DS Bokukan game has been put back from 2011 to 2012.

Good DS games out in the first year, or by the end of 2005? I can think of Band Bros, Advance Wars, Another Code, Kirby Canvas Curse, Lost in Blue, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Pinball, Ouendan, the rerelease of the first Phoenix Wright, Polarium, Wario Ware Touched, Super Princess Peach, and Yoshi Touch 'n Go. So quite a few decent games there...Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Super Mario 3D Land is the fastest selling portable Mario game ever in the US, Nintendo has announced.
Super Mario 3D Land has become the fastest selling portable Mario ever which will no doubt cause shareholders throughout Nintendo to sigh deeply with relief. As a result sales of the 3DS rose 49% which were bolstered by rising by 325% over Black Friday weekend.
On a side note, Skyward Sword also did well by selling faster in the US than any other Zelda release to date. The Wii also had its best Black Friday sales ever too showing that the system could have sold more units in its lifetime had Nintendo not dicked about so much.

One of my Wiis has been thrown across the room twice by my cat catching a GC cable as she ran. Didn't even turn the console off.
The update for the 3DS to give it 3D video recording and new Streetpass content has been posted as December 8th, along with mild apologies from Nintendo for the delay. A week and a bit makes little difference to me tbh.
