I am with you there. The only reason this game even entered my radar was for the cats. Really disappointing, and excusing this by saying it's true to life is wrong. My cats are very interactive!

I think I read you just can't take them for walks or teach them tricks - pretty much just true to life, no blame for Nintendo there I'd say!

I'm guessing the cats will pretty much ignore you until dinner time where they will meow at you over and over until you put their food down clawing at your hand in the process.

If Nintencats where true to life they should do stuff like piss off for a week at a time then just turn up like nothing happened. only appear when they want feeding, or on boot up present you with mangled small animal corpses.

This IS a Japanese game, and it's quite possible to see people trying to walk their cats in Japan. There's one old lady in my neighborhood who does exactly that (I assume she's deaf and can't hear the cat wailing in distress)

I'm getting SSFIV and Pilotwings on the day. Then I'm getting Shadow Wars from HMV (haz vouchers) and I'm getting Ridge from the ONM subscriber deal (hopefully).

I bet I cancel Pilotwings.
