If it's any consolation, the stuff on Itsu no ma no Terebi is ****e. A bunch of 3 minute long clips, the only one being even remotely interesting is the Idoling wrestling one.

This is weird. For a Ninty fan, I feel absolutely no love for the 3DS. The constant hassle of keeping it in the 3D sweet spot and the headaches/nausea that gives me coupled with the prospect of (yet again) nothing much worth playing other than 1st party releases make me think I just should have gotten a DSi XL like I intended to in the first place. With a complete lack of interest in the Wii U, as well, I think I'm finally growing out of my love for the big N.

Mario Kart is all I want. Will it be worth getting one for that? Depends on if I have the spare cash.
Also massively in agreement with Wil. Big Nintendo fan completely uninterested in the 3DS and Wii U.
In fact, I think I'd be happier if Nintendo went 3rd party and just made Mario for proper consoles...

Having just purchased a PSP Go my 3DS is getting even less use. It is so much bigger, battery life runs out too quick and the 3D sweet spot mentioned gets annoying enough for me to turn it off completely quite often. Coupled with the complete lack of games and the fact the price of the console and games has dropped a lot since release I really regret buying so early...

In one weeks time there will be a game i actually want as so far im not paying premium for N64 games tarted up, i want new games really. I love card battling games so to get one so soon is a dream for me & it's based on the awesome bikkuriman series. This time the stickers have kanji hidden in the various character & monsters, you battle using kanji. The higher the stroke order the more damage it does but the clever bit is if you combine cards to make words the damage is massive, can't wait to get my hands on it

So if its not part of the EU or UK then what part of the world do Nintendo count you as?!
I must admit currently on my 3DS I am playing Donkey Kong more than anything else. A game I brought 2nd hand on on my Gameboy Color years ago but didn't give much time to and traded it in for a Neogeo CD I think. I thought it was a good game then but now I am really into it - a fantastic game even now very clever.
As for Super Mario Land I think this game has dated very badly. It plays ok but I don't think the gameplay has aged well it seems very stiff and heavy to move mario which I was not expecting but then its a game I have not played for well over 15 years now.
As for the new Zelda - brought it, loaded it up but not started on it yet!
I do think the virtual console is a great feature if only they would release more games and stop drip feeding them

Yeah, we are in a bit of a weird position, but if Microsoft and Sony can figure it out Nintendo dont really have an excuse. (They, like most online based companys ie: Lovefilm, Great Universal etc count us as being a part of the UK even if it is'nt strictly true) For everything else online-wise they seem to count us as being in the UK, but for videos, the Bermuda Triangle it seems
But all that moaning aside, I would'nt have even tried to load the thing up and notice it if there where some games to play on the damn thing....

Your points are valid about the 3ds, some more than others (so much bigger?) but nothing that a slew of great compelling games won't change.
Nintendos strategies often make me want to cry but as long as they deliver with the games I'll be glad I purchased my 3ds. And personally I think the 3ds is, save the poor battery life, a great little machine. It just needs better direction from Nintendo, imo.

On the subject of 3DS puzzle games. Crush3D has been delayed. The reasoning for this is simply "the success of the 3DS". Presumably the lack of.
This is pretty bad for Nintendo. If developers are jumping ship and there's no killer app for 4-5 months, it's going to be hard to see how the 3DS can start gaining ground.
