No, Flipnote is the animation app. There's a DSi version that doesn't transfer over to 3DS and they said there would be a 3DS version but all went silent a long time ago on it as far as I can tell. Unless I've missed info somewhere...

Admittedly I only made about three tiny animations with the DSi one but I enjoyed each one and woils really like a 3DS version.

If you're not yet going for Mario 3D Land, you've probably got the best of them. SSFIV works surprisingly well for what it is (a fighter on a handheld with a tiny d-pad). Aside from that... well, if you like pinball, Zen Pinball is pretty great, albeit suffers from being tiny on screen. That's on the 3DS eShop. Also I haven't played much yet but what I have played of Pullblox suggests it could be a really good game. That's eShop too.

I went against my better judgement and bought Mario. I'm glad it did its really enjoyable what else is on the horizon for it?

Loads in the next couple of months - Kid Icarus Uprising, Resident Evil Revelations, MGS3, Bit Trip Saga, Tekken and probably others I haven't thought of.

At the second boss level in Kid Icarus now. Bizarrely, the second area was much easier than the first. But the boss maze is cruel. Went around it for about 20 minutes going in circles before eventually getting my health chipped down to nothing without having found the boss. Anyone know how the items work? I know the drink thing gives you health instantly but what about the bottles?

Does Kid Icarus need a first play thread or am I the only one who would post in it?

To stand any chance of surviving you need to get the high score on each stage as thats the only way your life bar increases in size.

The bottles fill your life once it gets to zero, the barrell will let you carry more than one bottle (upto 8), the feather will let you survive one fall. Theres more items but those are the ones i can remember off the top of my head.

Do the bottles activate automatically?

I think so yes, once your gauge runs out it will fill it. Bit like the bottled fairys in zelda.

Did anyone get Cooking Mama 4? I'm tempted to get it. I haven't played any since the first DS one but really enjoyed that and thought it might be time for another. But I found the touchscreen controls somehow unresponsive on the Cooking Mama 4 demo compared with the first one. How's the full game?
