I tried to play it, but i just couldn't get into it. I had problems with the controls in most parts, now that i think about it and realise its probably down to my own living environment than the game itself. If i can ever work out what the problem is though, i'll give it another chance. ><

Looks like a less good version of Alan Wake to me, but still...could work. Agree that Konami should take it back inhouse.

There is absolutely nothing in that trailer that grabs me. Should've kept the franchise with the shattered memory devs

They obviously haven't played Red Seeds Profile. If they have they would have realised that Survival Horror now has a new champion and would have scrapped any plans for another Silent Hill game.

I am always up for more Silent Hill, Shattered Memories was a fantastic game on Wii and yeah it will be a shame climax don't get to make more but I think Vatra could do a good job with this.

I didnt finish Shattered Memories but im actually going to give it another go tonight.

I love SH1+2 but lets be honest SH3+4 werent as good so the devs probably made a wise decision to outsource and im honest I quite enjoyed Homecoming as I stated back in the thead...

Shattered Memories has to be finished it's a good un.
SH2 to me is the one that had everything. I enjoyed SH3 from it's ties to the original SH and it looked fantastic, SH4 did have a good atmosphere with some spooky house moments but was destroyed by stupid backtracking and rehash of the areas, oh and the ghosts.
Didn't play much of Homecoming, I started it and it seemed like it could be ok but only did little over an hour, will have to give it a shot.

Yup, like most series these days the numerical order of the series is becoming harder to keep track of. Everywhere seems to be sticking with this new one being Silent Hill 8 even though it's really more Silent Hill 6 as Origins is the equivalent of Resi Zero and Shattered Memories is a form of reboot rather than a sequel.

It's 9 if you include the Play Novel. Oh, and there's an iPhone one - that's 10. Best not to worry about the number I think.

Kind of expecting another SH:homecoming with this.

SH:SM was such a breath of fresh air in the series, regaining some of the spark and creativity the first 4 had. It's a shame that we seem to be back to games that just copy Team Silent (and the movie) rather than try something different.

Also kinda hard to be scared when you're a badass convict.
