Yeah its a good game, with very nice music, but VERY repetitive.

I have normal rechargeable batteries (2500mAH, 1.2V) in my Wiimote and they work fine.

dont forget wiiware. swords n soldiers was one of my fave games of 2009. also the bit.trip series. and of course solomon's key on vc, arcade version, which is single best reason to own wii imo.

sorry, not as far as I know. I should have clarified I was talking about Japanese releases. I also forgot to mention geometry wars galaxies and blast works, both of which got pal releases.

You can use a remote and a nunchuck. I've not tried doing it that way so I couldn't tell you how comfortable/responsive it would be. I'd say it's worth a pick up if you see it going really cheap. It does have some control issues but it's a good bit of fun.

                I can't say I've tested it but I don't see why the wii couldn't handle a 32gb SDHC card.

like others have said, just standard AAs. You can get all sorts of fancy docks and such but rechargables have served me well thus far.

sadly yes. aside from one or two games.

You should stick with the cube versions of jungle beat and power tennis but the pikmin ones are good.

aside from the issues jay mentioned, the wii is 100% backwards compatible with the cube.

I've never played a Monster Hunter game but they always seem to get good review scores. What's really tempting me to get it is that I can buy it with a black Classic Controller Pro for ?34:95 and I need to get one of those anyway.

I used to have a Super Famicon Classic controller which I liked using but they seem to be about ?60 now.

I'm still playing the PS2 version of Shikigami no Shiro II on my PS3 now so I'm really interested in Shikigami no Shiro III and the Milestone Shooting Collection. Is The Ultimate Shooting Collection the US version of the Milestone collection?

Am I likely to have any issues installing the Homebrew Channel on a brand new Wii with the latest firmware as I'd rather avoid chipping to import if I can?

Couldn't find a Wii component cable in town today which surprised me, anybody know somewhere that sells them online where I can get one in a mad hurry as I'm expecting the Wii to be delivered ?

I'd prefer the official one but I suppose it's not essential.

If you get world of goo, then try for many of the OCD challenges first time around, because otherwise you just fly through without any challenge - completing the levels normally is ridiculously easy and put me off going back. It should have been like Loopop or Loderunner where you can't progress without perfecting each level imo.

For Wiiware there are also quite a few great titles. Current fave is Bit.trip Runner which is fiendishly difficult but sublime.
