Just tried logging in to my Microsoft account id on xbox.com to grab some trial downloads. Got a message saying it wasn't working because microsoft ids now only work with passwords 16 chars or less. Mine was more.

Seriously MS? You are limiting my security now? Ok, so 16 is still lots, but.... why?

I think the whole network is having issues. Today I couldn't log in so I tried the 360 homepage and the app on my Android and got the same error message. 1 hour later and it's all fine again on the 360 and app but the actual xbox.com site is still down when you try to log in.

Thought that was the case haven't tried logging on live but like you have stated I'm still getting a message displayed"oops that shouldn't have happened"

Microsoft know about the issues so hopefully they will be fixed promptly:

Major Nelso tweeted that it's fixed.

I was trying to figure out how to connect my xbox to Live via a VPN which seemed fairly straightforward but couldn't get it to sign in - I'm guessing that was why! I was doing my nut trying to figure out what had gone wrong.

Wishing I hadn't signed up now. Can't get to the dash while logged on. Just "loads" forever

Edit: solution found on xbox forums was to clear the cache.

Any Problem=clear cache.

I don't imagine the release version will suffer from the same problem though. They can't have millions of people suddenly needing to clear their cache.
