I made it in, but i registered pre RROD, and got back my elite the other day with changed mobo. Any one know how it distrbiutes the upgrade? I assume it s by console id? and I assume that mine will have changed as a result of having the mobo changed?

Done some reading and I'm in, but not in, as the update is tidied solely to the console ID. Me sad

The real bummer for you is they had a form on the connect site that you could fill in to change your console ID if you were already in the program, but they took it down yesterday before the 3rd wave of emails went out.

I'm glad we are getting it tonight like. Much better to have something for the weekend rather than mid week. Plus I have a feeling live will grind to a halt next wednesday.

intersestingly (to me at least) I've just logged onto to my repaired elite then signed out and those games I bought on that 360 don't revert to demo's. Guess that means that my console ID might not have changed? Same serial number at any rate. Guess I'll find out later when they get roled out.

Sign in as another profile that didn't buy the games, and try and play them

I'm pretty certain the games are linked to your gamertag and not the console though aren't they?
