Ace Combat Assault Horizon [360 & PS3]

These graphics are more about war. I think they are fairly good.

The game is exactly what I expected. That is a game with an emphasis on scripted events and showcase to make it more appealing to the mass market. There is even regenerating health as in Call of Duty, which is ridiculous for a game like this.

But objectively speaking, this game seems to have far better dialogues and VA and the other AC games. Probably a better, more realistic storyline as well. Its just a more western oriented game and I think it grabs the good from both worlds. Still, the game might be too scripted for its own good and I could do without the helicopter stuff.

Yeah, I thought I noticed the health regeneration too when I was messing about, don't like that. But overall it is a really fun game and like I said earlier the best AC game I've played. I hope there are plenty of jet missions though because that's what I'm all about, the helicopter missions are OK but it's not what I'd buy an AC game for.

I want to know what the MP is like, I wonder if you can enter dogfight mode in that.

Who played Ace Combat 2 on the PS1? That was one of my first copied games. Good times.

Health regeneration!!!!!!! What are they doing to AC?

I was hoping for some helicopters to be included but after playing what I found often tiresomely repetitive and just plain annoying: XB360 Apache Air Assault I've been put off the idea.

It's a demo with only two missions and surely doesn't represent the full game, but I found both missions a bit disappointing.

Didn't notice the health generation, but that is silly. Hopefully that can be turned off in the game proper or is included only on the easiest settings.

Had a go last night and the copter level is guff, the fighter level though was brilliant

I quite liked the helicopter mission. I though the special dogfight move thing was a bit naff but it was still a million times better than the odd dog fightmode in HAWX.
