Looks like they have scrapped the multiplayer modes. Don't mind no deathmatch style games but the coop could have been good.

A string of bad news about one of the most anticipated games on the planet might be giving BioShock Infinite fans cause for concern. But the game's creative director, Ken Levine, tried to allay concerns during a call with Kotaku today. He did so on the heels of us learning some surprising details about Infinite's…

Shame about the possible co-op being axed, but multiplayer isn't a great loss.

I did find this news a little concerning though:http://www.shacknews.com/article/751...ave-irrational

Do hope this turns out well. What they've shown so far has been nothing short of stunning.

Probably hasnt been AXED axed though has it...just sounds better than them saying "we have decided to offer the co-op as DLC later in order to increase our customers enjoyment".

Online in the second game was actually pretty fun tbf

Nothing to worry about, only time id get worried is if Ken leaves.

If all really is well, though, why aren't they showing it at Gamescom? They already skipped E3.

                  More shuffling around:

Epic production director joins Irrational as VP

Amid reports of departing staff and disappearing features for the delayed BioShock Infinite, former Epic Game production director Rod Fergusson has announced that he is joining Irrational Games as its VP of development.

Fergusson tweeted that he had left his "family at Epic" and was joining the Boston-based developer today. He also said he has played Bioshock Infinite and that he can't wait to get it into the hands of players.

Fergusson could be the replacement for Tim Gerritsen, who was the director of product development when he left. Given that the hiring process can be a rather lengthy one, especially for such a high-profile position, it leads to speculation that this transfer of power may have been in the works for some time.

Despite the recent setbacks, Irrational boss Ken Levine maintains the game is still on course for its February release.

Has anyone been granted a hands-on preview with this yet, or has it all been video previews?

Yup...some overpriced gubbins there, all right!
How many different editions are you going to buy, Mr. B?

EDIT: Good to hear something's moving, though. Looking forward to new trailer this weekend.

I really do like these ultimate editions and if money was no object then i would have no problem buying them but sadly i do have a gaming budget and for the price of this i could potentially buy 2 or 3 games. Another issue is these ultimate editions are just about always down to the ?50 mark after a couple of months, Skyrim being the perfect example. Still it looks nice.

That looks pretty incredible. And I'm getting more of a Bioshock feel from that trailer, like the feel is getting closer to the original than I saw in the early trailers. Still not really buying the time period and the location seems a little less fresh than the original (feel like I've seen this place already in a bunch of Final Fantasy games) but from the looks of this trailer none of that will matter. Seems very action-heavy too so it will be interesting to see if there is an adventuring side too - that would be harder to get across in trailers. Overall, looks awesome. Just wish it was out today!
